XFH00N 37 Posted November 2, 2016 Hi all just a few questions, First what size, length and grade bolts are used for the clucth on the 86DA engines? Where can i buy new valves from? What is the difference between the HF-1 and HF-2 heads?
slydog 7,873 Posted November 3, 2016 Valves Performance Wholesale HF1 and HF2 is just early XD head. No real difference between TBH. Clutch I'm not sure of having not done 1 in ages but I'd assume there a 5/16th UNF.Happy to be wrong though but someone like Sunbury brakes would know.. 1 gerg reacted to this
gerg 10,871 Posted November 4, 2016 Grade 5 (3 strokes) 5/16" x 1" UNC set screws, use blue loctite and/or spring washers. I had some come loose on my corty many years ago. 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this

Yes seeing as my HF1 in the shed came off a XD sedan...see where this is going now? HF stands for Honda casting,1 is the model number and as they start @ number one (1) we can assume you have 2 early heads. My current cyl head is a HF4 from memory and it's coded as a C1A from EFI XE. Code for the head is in between inlets 1-2. Your should be blank if it's a HF1 but the head that come on late XF's were a D cast unit and of harder alloy then early units as they still blew head gaskets. XFH00N 37 Posted November 5, 2016 Yeah both are blank between inlets 1 & 2 and have the HF under the rocker cover. mmmmm very interesting thanks for that
wagoon 2,429 Posted November 6, 2016 Precision are great, very professional and don't sell rubbish I'm using several parts from precision my car including their hypertec piston. No I'm not sponsored or have anything to do with things company other than being a customer. They have always been very helpful and had parts that I need in stock and I'm lucky enough to live within 1 hour travel time from one of their warehouses. This is my 6 cylinder crossflow powered car with the precision parts in it 1 gerg reacted to this
