Thom 6,654 Posted June 7, 2016 I put a 3.45 LSD out of a BA XR8 ute in our BA wagon (3.23) last year. The only problem with that is from au to current the track width is wider than x series 1 Outback Jack reacted to this

Thom 6,654 Posted June 7, 2016 also the outback pack ute had a LSD 3.45 They were a switchable locker, not very good for performance use but good off road
Outback Jack 6,352 Posted June 8, 2016 Agree with Thom Eb-El xr6 best transplant option.... is clutch pack LSD. Outback utes did have an LSD 3.45 in XG but it is a silicon filled coupling LSD. Not rebuildable, sealed unit and no one makes the couplings. I have one in my XG Outback. Hydratrak diff. XH Outback has same. BA ute , jacked up version has the switchable locker but that won't fit as stated above. Hope that helps.
