Gas aint gas or is it?

Guys, I have been told that there is a cleaner or purer propane available from the bulk gas depots, is this what they use to call forlift gas and what benefits could be had from using it?

Places like elgas and super gas sell pure propane put of the pump, the gas sold at most servos is.a shandy of propane and butane. Pure propane is a better quality and you will see a slight benefit from using it, but if it readily available to youthere huge benefits from getting your gas system tuned for it

propane is should be 100 octane. gas cars love it. got a bit more smoother feeling and poke from my old xf ute filling her up on it

Unigas here in NSW is apparently 100% propane and thats all i use

pure propane is closer to 110 ron. if you can get it, use it.

 

butane isn't as pure and has suspended waxes from the refining process. over time, these condense into the gunk we find inside the gas converters.

I used to notice differences in performance, drivability and economy from one tank of gas to another in the XD... Not hugely significant but noticable. So yeh it makes sense that gases aint gases.

The Nephew filled up his BF Egas with propane fron supagas and noticed the difference straight away, cheaper too
