That's my thoughts and it's at the top of the cycle. Most of the deformation would be where Meets the road under cornering etc.

Looking at shorter spring too should lift perch 1 to 2 inches from where is now. That would fix that issue.

You'd be surprised at what amount of deflection you do get at the top of the tyre. I checked all this out with Andrew at ROH Adelaide when we were looking at a 19x10 rim on an XD. His technical findings were the lower the side wall ratio the less deflection you'll get at the top.
