Rusted bonnet hinge tracks in XH ute

G'day, I have major rust problems with the bonnet hinge/ tracks in an XH ute. I've tried to attach photos but having problems uploading.

The hinge point and track on the right hand side has...... dissapeared.

The hinge brackets that attach to the bonnet itself are fine.

Wondering if there are parts available to replace? Seems like I may have to make a new one. The left hand one seems to be fine so could use it as template.

Any ideas would be greatly appeciated!

Sounds like plenum chamber rust?

Common on earlier x-series, but not often seen on XH's... yet.

usually if that track as rusted away you''l have water leaking on the floor due to rust in the wiper plenum as sparkydave mentioned above. it could be just bent, you can probably stick a torch/camera in the wiper vent and see if it's there or not.
