Fairlane grille *HELP*

Recommended Posts

Ok guys, the place I'm at has a fairlane.. ZG? ZF? I'm not sure on the difference but he has this front grille on now

But he wants to put in this grille set up

Problem is that the headlight buckets and brackets they have don't seem to match with the new grille. Does anyone know what parts he needs to use to make it bolt on correctly? Do you have any head light buckets that will suit this in your stash that you would sell (for good coin)?

Any help you can give would be appreciated

If you find rusty ford wreckers or LukeGT (same person ) he'd know and likely have it. Campbellfield Vic location.

I've mentioned him before so if your phone search works better than mine you'll get a link to click. Otherwise I'lladd it later

@2redrovers  on the car is a ZG grille, the one you want to fit is a ZF grille

i always thought they were a direct swap. if not Luke would know, he's been wrecking them for years.  his details below.

thats a weird one, note large single compliance plate that means its a 72 or xa style car, later xa in 73 started with the 2 smaller compliance plates, also orange rocker covers on a 351 is fuel saver version of the 351,very rare, most where in xb era.not sure about the grills,i would just put the correct one on,and to me it looks like a zf model car with zg bits ?

The ZF grille on the floor is the one he wants to fit, so I guess he's going for originality too. Interesting about the plate, Greg and I were guessing and assumed it had two but one was covered under the black insulation bit. I'm not familiar with these as I've never had to work on them before.
