Craig 18 Posted February 6, 2017 Hi Guys,First post here... please go gentle The Wagon's been allowed to come out of storage (XD that's halfway through 302C conversion from 6 Cyl). Walking around and having a good look noticed this at the top of the B pillar - is the same on both sides. Anything of concern, or would a strip back (sanding/wire wheel) and a decent weld from my panel magician of choice do the job?
deankxf 20,288 Posted February 6, 2017 hopefully 2redrovers sees this and replies.. he did similar repairs on Marks car(XH ute) the cause might have been rusty sills and towing a horse float? have you had a good look under the rest of the car?
Craig 18 Posted February 7, 2017 I don't think the car's had a tow bar attached (certainly doesn't now). Will be checking underneath over the weekend for sure.

Craig 18 Posted February 7, 2017 Thanks 2redrovers. The sills look pretty good, there is some damage near one of the jacking points on the passengers side (rear), all door jambs also look ok from memory. Any suggestions on where to look for something not straight and what to check (or whom to have check) underneath the car?
2redrovers 21,400 Posted February 7, 2017 Check the sills for signs of rust, inner and outer, around the base of the a pillar (may only show as cracked paint around the seams and joints). Check where a pillar meets base of front screen. Any ripples in the roof around the B pillar? If you haven't taken the doors off, do they open/close nice with even gaps all around or is it uneven?
