Thoughts on timing chain?

Recommended Posts

Found this timing chain at work, RRP was $150 or something, was on clearance for $20 so I grabbed it, what are people's thoughts on it?

Doesn't look like something that would stretch easily...

Thats an original Morse chain. Same style as Clevo, etc.... Designed to be maximum quiet. Will be good if not over revved, last 200,000 easy.

Must be used with original gears that are coated with that brown shellite stuff. Good score for a 20.

150? you can get a rollmaster double row for less than that

RRP of $150. But that could be 10-15 years old. They leave the RRP high on clearance lines so it looks like you get a better bargain.

Yep, thats the one's.... Clevo's ran the Morse link chains from the factory. Got 400k out of my first one, before it backfired, jumped a tooth and bent all my exhaust valves.
