Electric fuel pump for XF ute

just want to throw this out there to see what people have done for fitting an electric fuel pump into an XF ute, to feed an AU engine.

 

at the moment i'm thinking of fitting an XH fuel tank. does anyone know if this is a direct fit.

 

or any other other ideas are most welcome.

XG/XH tank should be a bolt in swap.

But not sure how you'd keep a working fuel gauge with XF dash.

the tank is a direct fit(good luck finding a good one.. getting kind of rare now)

as mentioned the sender is different. there has been a few ways of getting around this, i cant remember any of the top of My head.

If you do end up just running a after market fuel pump, use an FPE240 bought from Repco or online (online price prolly better)

its a heaps quiet pump and works a treat. Put it through a z200 fuel filter.

cool, this is what i was hoping for.

 

the reason i wanted in tank was simply for the noise, so the FPE240 could certainly be an option.

i was however looking at setting up for E85.

looks like i could fit the xf sender into the xh tank.

 

i have a source for an xh tank so might get it and have a play.

thats one way, but someone had got the guage working with some electronics.. (i had it done 10yrs ago but cant remember what was done..the instrument tech moved and so have i since..)
