FALCONSTIEN 32 Posted July 13, 2015 Hi All, I am currently swapping a stock 351 out of my XB. The motor I am replacing it with is a rebuilt 351 and moderately worked, it was making 250 rwkw in the XD it was in. The XD had an electronic fuel pump. My question is do you think a hi volume mechanical fuel pump and standard fuel line will feed enough fuel? Has anyone got any first hand experience with these HV mechanical fuel pumps? Trev Vaa 1,185 Posted July 14, 2015 so your holley high volume wont keep up with a standard ford pump is what you are saying? probably time for a replacement then, either that or make sure you have a 3/8 line pickup and line and not the 5/16 that comes on 6 cyl cars from the factory. heres one http://www.robbmcperformance.com/products/ford550.html heres another he makes http://www.robbmcperformance.com/products/ford1100.html ive used one of the 550hp pumps on a customers motor, makes 500hp and never has an issue with fueling. scott ran a mechanical pump on his 410ci XW also, it was AFD a few years ago and is a project thread here, he was the one who reccomended robbmc pumps to me. 1 NZXD reacted to this Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
