dougie77 789 Posted July 1, 2015 Hey guys I just fitted the rear factory speakers into the fairlane I have and it's like they have fuck all power going to them. I think only the tweeters are working it seams strange the fronts work fine but the rears are shit. The stacker has been removed (not by me) and I was wondering if maybe the stacker has a amp built into it I have tried searching around the net for answers but no joy so if anyone can help that would be great Cheers Cortina for life
Thom 6,651 Posted July 1, 2015 If there two sets of plugs under the parcel shelf ot may have had a factory amp, if so it will be located behind the boot trim in the driver's rear 1/4, you will either have to wire the amp up to your current head unit or try swapping over the plugs in the speakers (the Second set may be taped up
dougie77 789 Posted July 2, 2015 It still has the factory head unit and it's only a single din one Cortina for life
revhead 1,392 Posted July 2, 2015 if you have a look behind the carpet panel in the boot on the drivers side there should be a pioneer amp factory fitted ,check that the fuse hasnt blown ,this maybe why youve lost out put to your rear speakers
dougie77 789 Posted July 2, 2015 No amp but I can see the factory plugs but they are cable tied (factory) to the loom near the spare tyre Cortina for life
