xfish 20 Posted September 7, 2014 Hey guys I'm still going through my EL XR8, and finding things that are in need of repair or replace. I finally got around to taking the wheels off to check and inspect brakes, and noticed i have the '1' piston caliper instead of the twin piston's that i thought all XR8's had. Cause honestly, the brakes feel a bit 'spongy' in comparison to my XF's. If i was to hunt down a set of twin piston tickford front calipers, will they fit the rotor i have now, or will i have to replace that also? Or have i been mis-informed about twin pistons coming from factory for EL XR8's?
SLO247 1,713 Posted September 7, 2014 Only EL GT and the FBT got bigger brakes. XR8 had single piston like the rest. You need the uprights as well. Aftermarket kits are available. 2 SPArKy_Dave and Defective reacted to this
