Removing XF heater box

Recommended Posts

Im searching for rust under the plenum, so far Ive got the dash completely out, but it hasnt given me much more of a vantage point. It seems like Im going to have to remove the heater box if I want to get a good look up there.

Would anyone happen to have any step by step knowledge to remove the heater?

Cheers

Paul

if you have the dash out, you've done most of the heavy lifting. From what i remember, you have to go to the engine side and undo the nuts that hold the studs for the heater box/air con/fan assembly to the firewall. The whole box should then slide off the firewall in the cabin.

Yep, wat he ^^^^ said.

Must be half dozen long bolts with nuts sticking through the fire wall into the engine bay.

Undo them nuts and presto.

You will have to disconect the heater hose's from the core/firewall to.

Your almost there. Let us no how you go.
