jamie247 542 Posted December 28, 2013 nah I'd prefer metal I just bought new door skins the bonnet and boot would be easier to reskin that I have
BigCav 464 Posted December 28, 2013 the only company i know who could potentially make them is retro rods custom sheet metal but there website and catalogue is down unfortunatly from my experiance though these sized panels are too hard to make, nobody other then major manufacturers have the press's large enough to produce such a panel
jamie247 542 Posted December 28, 2013 yeah there like 10mins from me they do great work I'm waiting to hear back from them
Neil Armstrong 92 Posted December 29, 2013 why would you want new panels anyway? like you can get a good bonnet for a couple hundred bucks in primer.
jamie247 542 Posted December 29, 2013 why not if they make em makes more sense to me then buying a bonnet in primer full of bog and hidden rust
revhead 1,392 Posted December 29, 2013 when fitting the new door skins dont use a hammer and a dolly ,use a hammer and a block of wood this way you wont dent the new outter skin
jamie247 542 Posted December 29, 2013 yeah pete I'm getting retro rods to fit all the new skins and make a new beaver panel up with dual exhaust outlets, I'm seeing if they can make a new bonnet/boot skin while I'm there if not i'll repair my own, those skins are a pain to remove by the looks of it might let them do that also, and I need to go to my mates booth to spray epoxy primer my little compressor just don't cut the mustard 1 revhead reacted to this
jamie247 542 Posted December 29, 2013 I do remember some1 saying on the x series skins if you run a grinder on the edges it will separate the outter panel from the inner I could be wrong

jamie247 542 Posted December 29, 2013 yeah I have 2 beaver panels so could probably make my own but i'll leave it to the pros be well worth the money he is pretty cheap I hear, as for the door skins might just take a grinder to the edge tomorrow gonna replace them anyways 1 revhead reacted to this
