Gandalf 144 Posted October 8, 2013 I have a 351 fmx and 9" in the XC ute. I'll be changing to a tough c4 during the rebuild. Are the props different? What about the crossmembers. Was told the fmx has 31 spline output. Is this different to c4?

bear351c 10,273 Posted October 8, 2013 Yep, what he said ^ ^ ^ Why the change, you looking for less weight ? 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this
Gandalf 144 Posted October 9, 2013 Yep, what he said ^ ^ ^ Why the change, you looking for less weight ? When done right c4's are a lot tougher and performance components are easily available. Will probably go for arrow or dart block next year with 3v's. Looking for around 400 at the wheels, but that is another story. Just thinking the fmx will be on its threshold with that setup. And the weight is another issue I guess. More power is lost through fmx than c4 from what I have searched.

bear351c 10,273 Posted October 9, 2013 True, and good research. I love my FMX. Neck snapping, tyre squealin' gear changes, that break seat mounts.....but, that's just me. (Just don't EVER want to change another, in my entire life !) Cast Iron is FOOKIN' HEAVY 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this
