TF_250 got a reaction from tpak addict in Next Peice of the Puzzle Cont.
Been a while since i have put an update up here, I finished off the last season well then sort of missed the mark in the finial shootout, still learning the car.

I have now just been fine tuning the little things and trying different things as well. We did a couple of test n tunes in dec & jan trying a new gearbox pickup setup and changed the cam sensors from magnetic pickup to hall effect of coarse i had to make some mounts for them and they are different intake to exhaust side. I also deiced to get rid of the original door trims and make up some alloy sheet versions to replace them because race car and all. That was all done before the start of the new season.

I ran a 1/8th mile radial race recently and had wanted to try E85 again in this engine. So to do that I changed out the injectors then its all in the keyboard tell the ecu what injectors you have, what the molar mass of the fuel is and a couple of other fuel settings and the ecu will re-tune the petrol map to suit E85. The car performed about the same which was expected but man E85 burns nice, all the tops of the pistons were cleaned and all the plugs were nice and clean. I deiced to leave it for now though and head back to 98 and run my regular season on it though.

We have been fine tuning the cam timing particularly the exhaust cam. When changing the sensors to hall we now have a better signal and have found some gains there. I can't wait for some cooler weather as so far it's about a 10th of a second faster then this time last year!! Also willowbank have changed the et cutoff for the series I run from 11.50 to 10.50 so no dramas trying to slow the car down in winter.

Surge tanks and lift pumps are just dead weight in a drag car mate shouldn't need it, just run the efi pump directly off the fuel tank.

I have a 36-2 chopper wheel and magnetic sensor to suit ATI that was on my old motor if your interested.

    Post cleaned...please nothing personal.

Mossys made over 400 and Wazzy's did 420plus on a flat tappet so Ando to reach 400 plus is very doable.

The Hemi you talk of is owned by Tony Spasenoski and is a Orange Charger. Real nice guy and helpful and interested in how we make our xflows go so fast. His car has run a best of 13.2 thru the manual that is in it and was in it for Summernats as he prefers to pull gears so no street convertor in that car. His car is @ 1360kg too which surprised me as well but is backed via research.

As for my ute...while yes weight was removed weight has been added in other areas too so assumptions are just that assumptions. As it runs big MPH for the et it shows if anything it is heavy not lite.My Et shows it should make 360odd @ the crank yet the mph says 392hp which is not far off Wazzy's 117 mph which made a solid 420HP plus @ the crank.

But again information to the thread and topic please guys.

Guy's this thread is about Ando's current engine build nothing more. Open discussion and questions on components is fine or how and why on fab/modifications etc. Remember "anyone" can start there own build threads about there set up's and is encouraged to do so.

So In closing...If I don't like the post or don't think it's related or in the spirit of the thread,it's is getting deleted.

cleveland is to narrow and 460bb is to wide for a crossflow but at the time comp cams made removable tie bar lifters that had enough movement to fit the crossflow most other roller lifters are riveted and don't fit in a crosflow without cutting and welding the tie bar back together.

Push rods are basically do all the setup in the valve train then measure and order push rods, trend make them in 100's of different lengths.
