one of the negatives would surely be needing new pushrods(custom length?)
-
seem a bit overkill for a stock crossy, but yeah they'd fit.. so would these.. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bosch-Ignition-Spark-Plug-Lead-Set-Ford-Falcon-Fairmont-XF-4-1L-EFI-1984-1987/253360433666?epid=5003002785&hash=item3afd756a02:g:BikAAOSwPzhZ~Kru

Stop leak usually starts working in about 30mins of running time in my experience
-
Clockwise if you are facing the engine from the front of the car.
-
buying a cortina next?

it won't need an additive, Alloy heads already are fine for unleaded fuel. 91 is crap, i don't even use it in the lawnmower.. you should try a full tank of each and see if you get better economy and you will probably feel the difference of the 95. i suspect you'll get better fuel economy from 95.. i ran Penrite HPR30 in mine, but the penrite app i have lists HPR15 so will depend how worn it is(Shell had an oil for older engines that used to shut up noisy lifters a bit more, was 25/50 i think) as for oil and plugs, i used NGK ZGR6B11 in carby models(on Lpgas), i assume it's same for EFi? Chis(Mr Polson) above works for Repco, and runs an efi crossflow also so he'd be worth taking advice from in a car that is standard.. if it was reconditioned, or extra sludgy then you'd consider asking an engine reconditioner what they'd suggest, but a worn out rattly crossflow doesn't need life support.. they are pretty hard to kill unless thrashed hard(even then the auto will probably die first )

Points ignition to electronic. Removal of ballast resistor.
deankxf replied to bear351c's topic in Auto Electrics
i used a relay on an ignition once and it stayed on for some reason. not sure the reason but the auto elec that fixed it mentioned some reason it wasn't advised on ignition -

i think it wouldn't affect the tacho, as that runs off the negative coil post -

so is that the fatter wire in the top photo? that's easy enough then, i thought it went all the way to the ignition switch -
Falcon EF XR6 cluster odometer kilometres
deankxf replied to Geelong West Falcons's topic in Interior and Car Audio

Non-pwr steering box, educate me
deankxf replied to Defective's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
if you remove the plate thing from the inside (with the self tapper screws) you can tap it down using some wood and a hammer.. i did mine from in the engine bay and scratched the paint by just levering it with a crow bar .. -
Ign switch wouldn't be my first thing to change because they are a prick to do. .. What else can cause the symptoms
-
could be ign switch even. try it a heap of times, if it comes good, its likely the switch.

try some soapy water on the screw hole, yeah betting you didn't Mark where it was? did you use any chemical flushing agent for the cooling system? i remember using one 20yrs ago ish and it must have unblocked a rusted particle blocking a hole in the heater core ..
-
must be the mention of a V6 fitting in and going well(not to mention sounding good too)
-
fancy coolant.. i haven't added that to mine yet.. not loving the sudden low coolant issue.. did the screw go in far enough for a leak? i'd have heard that screw in the tyre on most My cars, tick tick tick as it goes onto the bitumen.

i saw this beast today(caught up with Aaron at Penlink) its bloody clean and the wheels to My surprise suit it better in person.. exhaust sounds great too, but can hear the carby over it with a decent rev still. interior is almost immaculate, so is the engine bay. definitely a cool car..... also saw a Mk2 cortina with similar engine bay and a V6 capri engine... now there's a tempting mod, it sounded nice too

it will be 25 degrees very early in the morning.. or late tonight. i have to ride 32km tomorrow morning.. naturally i wont wait till it's 40 to begin
-
looks like a pretty good tailgate
-
I always thought the chrome tips took away the "beast" look.. added a classic look.. probably would suit your car

interested also.. pretty sure one is 12V when cranking, then drops to the resistor wire from watching a Peter Anderson Video (has heaps now i'd never find it) -
that's probably a question for @Panko @Mr Polson who might have encountered this issue before.. i know the air flow meter in particular can be temperamental (temper- mental) the ISC might need cleaning with carby cleaner or similar?

sounds great! pics will be very helpful, but i think i get what you plan to do
