If the windows are not working, it's a Smartlock relay... Sometimes you can remove the oxidisation off the relay contacts by rapidly jiggling the Accessories and/or interior light fuse in and out. Failing that, you'll have to remove the Smartlock module and do it the hard way.

Now THAT looks cool.... Sleeper level, 1million. Just get widened ones for the back... You've got the front runners sorted! The body colour wheels actually suits it, tbh. It's just the inner wheel arches that need to be detailed, de-grimed, etc.
-
That body colour wheel, actually suits the car quite well, LOL! I want to see a hub cap on that wheel.

My 11/74 XB GS Panelvan has a 1977 F100 block in it..... oh how I yern for the original matching numbers block...
-
C is 60's D is a 70's casting E is 80's F is 90's, so that tells you if the year is 60's, 70's etc

Lol whut?

Friday is hot... 40degrees! Half of the awesomeness..... It's not a gem, it's a driver/thrasher. I'd have no problems not hiding it away. LOL!

Half of everything... turbo crossflows are awesome...

Should buy it back for cheap, then re-sell again for $3k. edit - anyone want to go halves?

Who here, has had to fit a crappy/distorted non-oem Chinese windscreen to their Falcon/Fairmont/Fairlane or Ltd? I'm in talks with a small Australian Windscreen Manufacturer, to produce some Aussie made screens for our vehicles, AND make them in modern Acoustic Glass - for reduced wind noise/improved cabin silence, etc. I've also asked if they can stamp the screens with the factory Ford/Pilkington markings. Apparently they own some of the old Pilkington logo's, so things are looking good with that too! A special sound deadening inter-layer, (sandwiched in-between the two laminated glass layers) is what makes a normal screen into Acoustic Glass, and it apparently comes on a 250m roll. I'll be getting some one-off Acoustic Glass screens made for my own vehicles regardless, but who else here would be interested, if I really pushed hard for a decent run of screens to be done?

I've got several higher km OHC's, still on the original head gasket. And several lower km OHC's, which have blown head gaskets. All around the ED-EL era. Definitely nothing with MLS gaskets.

Those wheels look bigger than 12's.
-
Do you have a pic of what they look like?
-
What hubcaps, do you have for yours? Are they the proper ones?
-
3 mufflers is usually Resonator, then Tri-flow, then another resonator right at the back. I don't mind the Jellybeans actually. Makes the car look straight out of the 80's. The extra amount of tyre sidewall, is what makes the biggest difference IMO. The car looks lower with them too! I'd quite like to see either an actual pic, (or a photoshop), of original style wheels (12 or 13's) and hubcaps. I've heard that perished steering rack rubber mounts can cause that steering wobble? The nos parts guy I know, has some NOS Escort front grilles, and heaps of original genuine suspension rubber componentry for these. (incl NOS steering rack mount bushes)

You've forgotten the pics dude. Use IMGR or something similar to Photobucket.

You may need to speedy sleeve the crank. If the rubber edge of a rear main seal has gone really hard, it can cut a small groove into rear crank rotating surface, this will stop any new rear main seal from sealing correctly - especially as the oil thins out. Speedy Sleeves are a way to correct the problem.

AUSSIE MADE WINDSCREENS - GROUP BUY THREAD
SPArKy_Dave replied to SPArKy_Dave's topic in Body and Exterior
No, they're based in QLD, and will ship Aus wide. They aquired the old PGI aussie glass manufacturing equipment, moulds/jigs etc, - from when PGI went to China. -

I haven't talked price with them yet, but I'll be getting some made for myself regardless. I'm so sick of chinese glass, and not being able to get decent stuff. They asked if I wanted to do any side glass too! I would prolly suggest at least $500, for an Aussie Made Acoustic Screen. -
Running 10's, on a crossflow, built 15yrs ago! Eat that, turbo Barra's.
-
Pretty nice sound, for a Crossflow here -
-
Triple weber Crossflow FTW!
-
What torque did it make? It's all in the torque... Are you feeling the x-series crossflow love enough yet, to get another one?
-
And was it good?
-
What Cam did you have in it? Sounds like you need another crossflow as a daily!
