mmzh351 63 Posted December 21, 2015 So I have a new 100amp alternator coming from summit racing, it is a one wire setup. Is there anything I need to know to wire it up? What do I do with the other two wires, and can I still get the charge light on the dash to work?
hendrixhc 10,920 Posted December 21, 2015 You dont need the charge light hooked up for the one wire alternators, They do not need the lamp as an exciter. There is however a terminal under the rubber cover if you wish to connect them. You basically just need a good earth and a decent charge wire straight to the battery. the other 2 wires can be insulated and just wrapped back in to the loom as they are not needed. 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this

hendrixhc 10,920 Posted January 23, 2017 No problems at all. Been running over 12 months and have no charge or supply issues with the thermos etc.
