NZXD 2,328 Posted September 27, 2014 Hey guys, I'm slightly concerned at the wiring in my XD. I thought all was sorted until I went to plug the 6 wire loom from the ignition barrel to the small loom that goes into the engine bay. The colours do no match when plugged in and there's a wire been cut. Can anybody post a picture of the two plugs together showing the wires corresponding? Cheers
NZXD 2,328 Posted September 27, 2014 Ok I have re read the electrical diagrams and it is how it should be. One of the earth wires has been cut, where is the best place to secure this?
NZXD 2,328 Posted September 28, 2014 Today's job was to tidy up the wiring under the dash, turns out that the power coming into the cabin (two yellow, two black, purple/white and a white) do not plug into the ignition barrel as I found the right plug up under/ behind the fuse panel. Today's drama is that I have nothing to plug the brake pedal plug or the ignition barrel into. I have pulled most of the dash out again and I'm lost as to where it has gone? I can only think aliens have taken it.

NZXD 2,328 Posted September 28, 2014 Bloody aliens had put it up hiding. The electrical system is alive, power everywhere it should be. I'm super bloody stoked
NZXD 2,328 Posted September 28, 2014 Can anyone provide some info on the factory resistor that leads to the coil? I have a mallory comp s/s 42 series dizzy which (how I read it) requires a resistor in the line to the coil or failure of the ignition module will ensure. I have a msd blaster 2 cool. My XD was originally a 6, so it should have a resistor in the loom. Anybody see any issues?
