dash calibration difference from 6 to 8 ??

Well as title says whats the dash diffence between my 6 ghia dash with the v8 in, at say 3000rpm on my six dash what are the revs really say 2700 or vice versa, just so I have a gide untill I get tacho and shit in,

How? I've never heard of anyone getting the Ghia dashes to read right.

It's often a resistor that does the calibration. Change it for a larger value to read less per pulse
