XFGHIA747 76 Posted January 7, 2014 Hey guys im about to repaint my ghia in the next few months and was wondering can you buy new body moulds ( the ones on doors ) if not can you get them re ferbed as the clear and chrome has faded on mine as they do. I never had moulds when I painted my maroon xf so never looked into it but when I redo ghia I want them back on Cheers guys hopefully someone has the answer im looking for. The closest you can get, are repro ESP side mouldings with the yellow stripe, which are the same as leaded/series 1 unleaded XF Fairmonts. (the XF's have a chrome stripe though.) You should be able to re-furb yours, by peeling off the chrome coating/clear. Then purchase a quantity of chrome pinstripe, or some chrome signwriting vinyl, and some clear pinstripe/vinyl to go over the top. That's about as close as you'll get to original these days.
