Paul Garrett 7 Posted September 14, 2013 Just trying to get my head around what is involved in locking an EST dizzy? How it's actually done?
slydog 7,873 Posted September 14, 2013 By fitting a MSD to control it, then all the timing is done @ the crank...You can use a EST dizzy or a TFI cos both will do the exact same thing for you. So if we use say a MSD Street Fire box and a EST dizzy you use Black as the earth,Red as the power (12V switched) and green as the pip/trigger signal (white trigger from MSD) from the 3 wires off the EST dizzy. Orange from MSD goe's to coil positive and Black from MSD to coil negative...then you will have whatever timing you want @ the crank. So if you set it @ 28 degrees,it will be @ 28 when you start it. If you need anymore help just fire away bro... 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this
