Hi guys many years ago i thought it would be a good idea to seal up my sunroof to stop rain leaking in anyway now i have a carport for the FD i decided to get the sunroof opened again which meant scraping the silicon away but now im gonna need a new seal & tidy it up i believe the news seals are from usa & hard to come by ive also heard about using products from clark rubber. What would you guys recommend i do about this?

one of the other members need to chime in on replacement seal, but living in melbs should be heaps of sunroof places to ask or drive it there if its registerd and see what they say,oct 83 is mid series 2 builds,so a fuel inj crossflow as engine ? or carby, probly has lsd 2.92 disc.

It is registered & i drive every couple of weeks to my gf's place & brothers place if the weather is good.

Yes it was an efi 250 my brothers & i did the conversion back in late 2012 6 months after i got it as i wanted to put a V8 in it & i was able to get a ZJ fairlane 302 complete car for $600 (the car was very rough but the mechanicals were good) so i bought it.

I used the engine, trans & tailshaft off the Cleveland driveline from the ZJ.

The diff is the factory 2 pinion 2.77:1 LSD. (goes really well on the feeway)

nice swap when everything is there all the p/s lines and trans for c4,interesting question is was the FD available in a carby crossflow ,i know the zj had quite a few 250s put in them.

My first point of call would be custom sunroof in maidstone. Have not been there for years but if the original owner is still there Peter he would no if seals are still available or not.

I just got a new sunroof seal for the Jeep from "The Sunroof Doctor" in America... http://www.sunroofdoctor.com/

They might only deal with US Fords though with exceptions of the likes of Escapes and others that are sold here and there ...
