i have a similar delema i want to use the 86da plastic xf clutch fan on my crossy build but am i sacrificing hp ? i also have the xe metal 7 blade clutch fan but that is much heavier than the xf one.

nope i dont have 1,i no the clevo has a small stamped steel bracket,i need to find a picture off one for a crossy.

hmmm i wonder why i dont have 1 as pulled apart a non air engine that was complete with alt,this anchor is off the wagon

is the alt/air bracket all the same on crossy's or does the non air have a different bracket as this one is heavy as hell ?

yeah this one is from ford muscle parts in sydney,they used to do a better sheilded one xbgt style but ol.m8 dont do em no more,i had one done at pirtek once with a braided end was the best ever but another $100.

clowning around im getting itchy to do something,

playing around with the rocker gear ,i watched a video last night from summit ,how to get the right length pushrods,i have std and 9.5 just for a look ,but will borrow ol.m8's adj pushrod to find the correct length,he seems a bit worried i might stuff it because there is no checking springs installed on the head,so i must be careful,maybe i should just buy 1,its been on my list of things to buy for a while,but speed shops are asking 5 times the price as a usa shop ?

The hyd line came looks good,almost all there now.

i found 6 hyd forks stashed in an old box at the wreckers,well 5 now,and also 1 off a xr falcon 6 looks very skinny

hyd line and throwout is orderd too,and single rail is getting assembled as we speak

The rubber boot came a tad expensive but a newie

im gunna go down the machine shop thismorn and see how its coming along,i want to paint the block b4 he starts to assemble the bottom end.

yes the ultimate but another grand and need some special lifters and blocks work I think

i have a wet blanket to throw over the carb ,hose on standby,never needed any of them but good to have it there incase of fire.

hey i just counted the teeth on what i think is 1st gear its the one right at the end of the picture right side and i got 31 teeth does this mean its the 3,06 first gear single rail ? cause there is no tag on the box ? and i assume the 3.50 1st 6cyl box will have 35 teeth ?

if you dont bang it around to hard it should be fine,if its out of a xc or xd more than likley its a 009 box 250/302, or xb 2.78 first all 6 and 8 except 008 351 box 2.46 first.

Yes the ol.m8 will dial the cam in,i also bought the fluted lifters tighe recomended,i wil give this combo a run for a while then up it to flat tops i suppose,sly are you running a very small chamber like 40cc to get to 13-1 ?

I only have 3.27 atm but will take diff to shop to get rebuilt with a shorter set I was thinking 3.7 or 3.9

3.45 to 3.9 seem very popular for the crossy
