Looks great Ken. With triples now not having the filter out bonnet is more sleeper. Just noticed you still running 4 stud pattern also. usually see ur car in launch mode and not close up like this. Good to see.

i just stick front wheels on 2 pavers high to clear the legs of crane under the lower controll arms. This was in my garage and i didnt have any height issues getting it out. Undid the 2 bolts on gearstick for the T5 and left the plate and short stick still bolted to the top of box. Used tailshaft yoke to bung the rear up and i got a spare speedo cable cut to block the speedo hole as oil will leak out of there also when you tilt it back. and voilah out she came. Falcons have bigger bays so you should get it out peice of piss.

Why dont u keep it manual. that way you dont need to fart around swapping boxes etc between manual and auto. This fella ran 10.6 with a Manual BA back in 2010? *edit* found a more recent video. running 9.8 still with manual box.

Yes Hilux/Hiace runs Falcon Stud Pattern. i have both sitting here in shed and will get them both fabbed up to suit the car. so when i can afford a set of Convo Pro's i'll swap to the HiLux diff and bobs ya uncle. I have thort about the normal setup using cutdown falcon diff etc but i have descided to go this way as i think these diffs are stronger than the borg warners. they have 30 spline axles. i know people have broken them before but lots of people in the drag industry run them under rx3's running 9's etc. the axles are 33mm wide compared to the bw78 28 spline axles which are 30mm. And i like to try different things. and diffs are pretty cheap to source if things go wrong. for the diff + disc brakes to suit its $400.. and cost me bugger all to get my fabricator to swap over the mounting brackets from a corty diff to the hiace/hilux diff. got put onto a shop that can whip me up a tailshaft for about $300. so for under $1000. looking at almost bulletproof diff thats not a 9inch

Time to upgrade the Diff to something a little stronger and Falcon 5 Stud pattern. I did some Measuring of Diffs and some googleing. I have seen others have used Hilux diffs but due to their width you either need to run deep dish or nothing as they are 100mm shorter than the standard Cortina diff. Today i pulled out a diff out of a 1992 Hiace. Its a G series like the Hilux so it has a 8" Crownwheel and 30 spline axles and its only 20mm shorter than a Cortina. Weighs in a 85 Kilo which felt roughly the same weight as the Corty diff so thats not bad. I also got some Disc Brakes to suit it off a 1998 Tarago which uses a 291mm Rotor and has internal handbrake which keeps it all neat. ---

Nope dont fit. my mate tested my te extractors and it hits on something . cant remember if its steering box or something else but was no good

if your by urself hook it onto the glass on otherside.. measure to the mirror. then run around the other side and measure from the glass to that mirror and add the 2 measurements togethor. then you'll see if u can get it in the garage hole

the tape dont lie.. windows down, tape thru the guts and get sumone to hold tape on other side and you should get a mirror to mirror measurement correctly.

Not bad for a car thats 4 sec slower down the strip. and im using ur old gearbox i get between 300-350km out of a tank

It pulls like a mofo on track. he took it to thing like powercruse over in qld and rollin along about 50 and stands on it just pulls from y he was next to. recons its got no lag. theyres a few vids on facey but dunno how to get them on here. Sean. havin ecu troubles. need to find a certain one to use with it. got about 20 that can be used but cant find any on fleabay. The tuner i using has a box of them for $300 so might grab one from him if i cant find one when i fly home next week at wreckers
