Just found this mate.. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LDPerformance-Bluetooth-RS232-adapter-for-megasquirt-MSdroid-/321174751038?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ac781c73e Would make short work of it all. Im thinking of getting one just for the sake of not having to pull my trims off and carry a serial cable around in the glove box.

K'archer Wet Sand Blasting: a review (sort of)
n00bus m@x1mus replied to gerg's topic in Body and Exterior
Cool and so does it matter if the blast grit gets wet?? How does it pull it up the hose? -
I did the reverse and modded an EL dizzy to fit xflow, turned the cog around and drilled a new hole for the thru pin... didnt get any filings in the sump but. The clamp down areas are different but and also the surface at which the dizzy fits into the block, so you would need to cut and shape the body of the dizzy to fit the 4.0L block, then mod some sort of clamp for it. Easier to go get one from a wreck somewhere bloke, i had to do it to mine because they are a lower profile than the 250s to fit under my custom manifold, plus the TFI module sits on a better angle....... come to think of it your going to find the same issues as mine if you went that way.

Yeah the screws holding it on are a 5 pointed security bit... much unlike the 6 pointed torx bits. I just jambed the right sized flat blade in the crevices and wrenched those suckers out Then replace them with some dirty old M5 bolts.

Looks good bud, need to lopp those spring perches off but -
Yeah dave but thats $440 for the cam, $125 for retainers, $79 for locks and $185 for springs all to suit. Then lets hope the rockers hold up lol
-
It would have to be in the head on a chain and torqued down for that too LOL Righto, well like i said earlier there is sfa difference between their entrance level cam and there top end cams all except their speedway cam is quite timid spec wise. We will see how they go i spose. its an extra $850 to install the custom grind that camtech was quoting me on so it will have to wait until ive got the coin asside unfortunately. If i spent that now i would have none left to get it back in the hole hahaha.

Look into AU axles rob they are around 30mm longer than the earlier ones and are fat fat fat!! -
Whats this cam like? I mean how did you come to the decision to order it? Reasons is i just bought an EF wreck for a few goodies and it had a crowcam in it with specs around that mark and i dont know whether or not its worth fitting it? Its got a bit more lift than the XR cam ive got. Crow 2222519 IN. 20/62 DUR-262 Lift at valve - .494" EX.64/14 DUR-258 Lift at valve - .472" LSA - 113 RPM RANGE 1200 - 4500 Im thinking its looking a bit small??? its got about 35 thou more lift on the inlet than the XR cam but and about 30 thou less lift than there largest listed cam.
-
Why worry then?? Does it rub on that side or somthing? And yes all AU with live axle are the same. Did u want dimensions still cos i got 2 of them out on the bench atm.

Suspension Height rules - (govco links included)
n00bus m@x1mus replied to SPArKy_Dave's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
Alright, so what the intention with this? To prove or disprove our road laws against the rest of the world? Also i was of the understanding that the distance between the bump stops and there adjacent mating surface could not be reduced by more than 1/3rd of the factory distance and then its not allowed to be less than 100mm groudn clearance... so there was always 2 laws that applied. Has the first been abolished now and its only ground clearance that has to pass? -
Fit an AU rear cover mate, if youve lowered the rear that will probably be your issue. I know mine was hella bent over with the XF cover on it. The prob is that when the diff goes up (IE your car goes down) the diff housing rolls forward and the cover is no longer parallel to the body mounts at the other ends of the watts link arms, so it get a horrid twist in it.

I want to do the same thing with my leafspring mods si i can convince myself more than anything that it worked. Just need to convince the old man to strap on his go pro lol.. is that the exhaust pipe glowing red right in front of it?? -
I know what ur saying, but if i blow my budget on a balancer then i might lose my roll ive got going on sneaking car parts in under the radar LOL. Plus while i like reving 6s i think 6500rpm is sufficient for what i intend on putting it thru.

So ive been looking everywhere and i cant seem to find one, i can find a butt load on ebay to suit the barra which is no good, but none to suit EF-AU. Ive found a couple OEM replacements but im not keen on spending coin to replace stock for stock. The one on there is munted so lets make it better i say.

M18x1.5 if i remember correctly. The port that comes with the innovate kit is pretty long, dunno if your supposed to cut it down or what cos the tip of the probe wont even protrude out the end of it installed. I just used the one that was already in my extractors.
