    What ignition system for my xflow?

    Glad your happy with it mate, yeah its a totally new system hey you get clean consistant signal to the msd unit and your ignition runs like a clock.... what degree advance did you end up setting it to?

    Piggyback ecu

    I dont know either, if it sits between the ecu and the harness then maybe but if it jacks into the j3 port in the base of the ecu I dont think that will do the job. I have a j3 chip that will go into the eec4 but there are limited support for tunes for the xf efi system. Lots more for eec5 but. It basically sits there and on startup it will replace the factory rom so when it boots it will have different parameters to work from. I don't have a need for mine anymore so if ur interested send us a pm. I have the j3 chip and usb tuner so u can program it yourself. can't offer any suport but on tuning for the xf system. You would have to chat to jason from tiperformance about that one. Dunno if he is on here but he has a thread on xfalcon.

    Electrical issues, low voltage

    Look at your coil mate, see if u can replicate the same symptoms in your shed while monitoring what voltage is at your + terminal on the coil. And is this carb or efi?

    Rubber rocker gasket 250?

    A good pcv system goes a long way in preventing rocker cover gasket leaks. On another note... why is it called a Positive Crankcase Ventilation system if the crankcase is under a negative vacuum will its running???

    Bought a speco one just last week... cost me $10 cos it was loose on the rack with no code so the dude behind the counter had no idea what it was or how to sell it. I guess its been there for a while.

    4.0 turbo vs 4.1 turbo

    If you break them both down side by side on the bench you will be amazed at how similar they are internally, same rods till EL, same bearings, same oil pump, so much is the same.. until u get to the headgasket. Then its like comparing a 2v cleveland to a 4v, the valves are massive, ports are massive, cam profile is huge. Theres so much more technology put into the induction side of things when u compare them, so for essentially the same bottom end thr top end can breath a hell of a lot more. Makes u really wonder why a xflow doesnt want to rev when u compare the rotating assemblies.

    Megasquirt Updates

    Can we some how sort out a dropbox thingo so we can swap tunes and stuff or even just to compare how each other sets them up?. I'm just about to start mine up in the next couple weeks but I don't have any tunes to start out on. I do have one loaded in there but it was for a turboed crossie with a lot of different hardware.

    Xe front clip onto XF

    Every paint shop mixes up colour on the spot... its how its always been done. Do you think they have warehouses full of old paint drums piled up of each colour lol.
