Preparations for the Victorian Van titles on the 25th and 26th of November 2023
Unfortunately I had an issue on day1 A bad motivator (alternator) caused me to lose my Sub-light engine and could not attend the Sunday Judging
This video was taken on Friday last week. If only there were night time car shows.
cheers

all Ford Day Geelong 2022, Fair to say i have modified the interior

I struggled to find anything decent. I am a draftsman by trade so not a hard task to create something, Resiplex in Geelong profile cut the pieces for me and I glued them together.

I didn't want to replace my existing stereo in the Van so I have been using 2 Sony XB41 Bluetooth speakers. This week my design was brought to reality and now sits nicely over the center divider. Cheers Scott

Nah that was one i was parked next to at the Car show in Lara last year.

I have been busy with a new direction on the interior still star wars themed but more Millennium Falcon. cheers Scott

A busy Easter fixing the roof of the Millennium Falcon Longreach. Mounted the Kylo Ren lightsaber, (Red) the Luke Skywalker lightsaber (Green) and Obiwan Kenobe lightsaber (Blue) Used the same hard foam board as a backing but painted black.
-
Picked up a couple of US army radio boxes from from 1967 to fit in the back of the side boxes.
-
Curtains I bought from the reject shop hanging through the top hoop by the wire and hooks, at the top. I have hooked up the same wire at the bottom and fed the curtains through so they wrap around top and bottom wires about 3 times.

The side pods for the back of the van, I will take a photo once I get it in the back tonight.

I have used a 30mm thick hard foam board that i bought from Bunnings, Its been a bit of Trial and error with it including the shaping and painting, but i think i have it pretty good now. cheers Scott

The yellow seat was in the milennium falcon in the Han Solo movie. I think Lando Calrizian had the Falcon at that time from memory.

this is a photo of the young Han solo Millennium Falcon. i'm trying to have it look similar but not the same.

Its my work in progress still. I have had a change in direction with the back. I built a box but I am going to remove it and make 2 side boxes

Gday good folks I disconnected my battery and took it out so I could take the bottom radiator hose off to do a coolant change and replace the hose. Ever since i put it back on the van backfires through the airbox and at 80km/hr dies then takes off alot. I have checked the map sensor as per instructions on here also replaced inline fuel filter which was dirty. I have new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor button on it. What else should i look at?

Yeah I'm still having trouble starting on cold days. Battery is good but needs a jump to fire. Will start straight away with temperatures over 10 degrees.Got to get the old gas wiring removed as I have removed all the mechanical parts of the system. Starter motor will be next to replace. Not much left it will almost be a new van after that

So on the last weekend I had to replace the fuel pump as the pressure was poor, found out due to the cars previous history of 9 years sitting the wiring in the fuel pump in the tank had disintegrated to a point the wires were almost bare and once i replaced the pump and wires it now runs well. I still have starting issues on cold mornings though.

Update I replaced the O2 Sensor was the original one still in it Replaced the coil. Had a mechanic friend come over and pull out the distributor and place it back in its correct location approximately 1 tooth out. Runs a lot better now, but I will need a new harmonic balancer as the old one is wobbly and we cannot get the timing perfect.
