  1. Next time it does it have a spare coil on hand to swap out and see if that fixes it, if not do test to see if if distributor is putting a spark signal out and or getting spark when cranking

  2. I hunted this problem for months when I had it happen swapped coils multiple times and was deadset a small crack in the dizzy body that I found when I was swapping it out

  3. Hey mate I had similar problems once upon a time, car would be fine drive fine do everything thing it should but would shut off randomly turning corners, and then would not start until it was cooled down.
Check and inspect your distributor cap, rotor button and the plastic case the rotor button rotates on for any small cracks. I pulled mine and found a small crack that was opening up once hot and swapped it out and never had an issue again.

  4. NPC do a lightened flywheel for the crossflow, which I believe is a 4l flywheel drilled to suit crossflow, accepts 10.5” clutch with 6 bolt pattern and dowels instead of 3 bolts.

  5. Xg one, but running it east west I believe a standard crossflow one would be long enough since it's the same throttle configuration as the Weber

  6. Coil + to relay terminal 85, then from 86 a coolant temp switch to earth. Supply from batt + to 30 with a fuse to suit, 87 to fans.

If running a ballast resistor, you might have trouble triggering the relay. You could instead feed off windscreen wiper supply.

Thanks for that, will revert to this plan if current setup does not work, I pinched the 12volt ignition from the second washer bottle pump plug, hopefully this works was nice and easy and isn't powering anything else

  7. If you've got a 600 laying chuck it on and see how it goes, my 600 was just a rebuilt one to see how it went, the new carby I got seems like it will be sweet, ran and idled smooth straight out of the box will see how it looks on dyno

  8. Crossflows aren't about HP as I've recently found out, 300hp at flywheel or to the wheels?

I put down 210rwhp through a manual and 3.45 diff and ran a 9.15 on the 1/8 first ever time out on the track.

Seen a 275hp at the wheels crossflow with lots of money and a lot of custom modifications with all the good bits run a 9.15 1/8 through a c4 and 4000rpm stall converter.
