They may have changed later on,but the shockwave not adhering was a PPG Primer issue,and as I said in the shop I was in PPG were supplying the materials for each repaint.

I have an xe ute with an xy diff under it so that would make it easier, i reckon it's doable with a stock width diff with the right offset.

I could smash them under an xb ute, i reckon i could get them under an xdefgh.

Went out to the xg today in the hope of starting it up and pulling it over the hoist to fit the new alternator and no go. It's been sitting with the battery disconnected(like always) for a month or so, hooked it up and it turns over but no lights on the dash and won't start. Any ideas?

I'm with him^ I've applied paint protection to cars when i worked in panel shops. It looked, smelled and applied like polish, only difference i could spot was the price.

The xd/e/f guards would all still be made out of the same fucked,stretched out moulds. Anything that pops up as a new product is generally good I've found,but the old shit is just that,shit.

Tried an xd on years ago,it was miles out. I just use used now.

Xr fronts will fit straight onto ef gli and xh. The bonnet and guards lounge straight up.

Front are roughly 4" inner and outer, rear roughly 4.5" inner and outer. So 8's and 9's.

All good mate. I'd go a little smaller on the front on another xdef, but they might be ok on xa because i think from memory they have more room. Measuring them up on my xb might be a good excuse to see how they suit it

Sorry man haven't been home in daylight after work and the xe isn't in the shed. Should be right for tomorrow night. 265/16s can prove very hard to find, I'd have a hunt for tyres before you decide on size.
