Mad not too bloke,smart move.
-
Mine were on 17s so not a lot of wall, wide diff but ba off set rims.
-
I think you will struggle. I've had 275's on 10s under one but it needed a fair push on the quarters with the guard roller to get them under.
-
Always loved f350 banana backs,I'd get too carried away tarting one up if i had one though. Power steering?
-
That's where it ends. Opinions are like arseholes,i wont have a falcon canning (or au canning)thread on this falcon forum.
-
Xa's were (especially coupes) considered ugly for a long time, now they are some of the most revered ford muscle cars. Again, looks are subjective.
-
I'm not sure this will end well. Looks are very subjective. Au's may be "ugly" but they've aged better than anything from that era,and are the most reliable car ever built in this country.

You could make something like this customers car i had on the hoist at work the other day, seemed safe:

Au engine requires sump/k frame to be modified whereas ef el bolt straight in.

au falcon series 2 high end dash into series 1 low end ute
Ants replied to steveheffo's topic in Auto Electrics
The utes are funny,i don't honestly know what you do about the abs.my guess would be get an engine bay loom out of an s2 ded gas ute so the abs is gone. v8 and ltd front onto an xr6 ute mate,i made sure it's all the same series though because i know how bad they are. -
au falcon series 2 high end dash into series 1 low end ute
Ants replied to steveheffo's topic in Auto Electrics
Au's change quite a lot from s1 to s2,not the least of which is the security system going from smart lock to smart shield. I reckon you're boned. In the long run even if it is possible to dodge it,you've already put in this much work don't you want it right? I'd change the loom,in fact I'm doing something very similar atm and that's exactly what im doing. -
Globes look awesome on xd's. I personally hate 12 slotters,i only have them on my wagon ironically.
-
I run a borg warner in the wagon with brand new genuine gears and a rebuilt lsd,i drive it with 0 sympathy (hence the million broken autos) and have never had a problem. Don't forget all the xr6t's,fpv's and hsv's all run borg warners stock. No need for a 9inch these days unless your going for burnout master at the nats or planning on running 8s.
-
No such thing as an 8 or 8 3/4 in an xw mate, just borg warner or 9 inch.
-
Love in a wagon is ok too, especially with someone else.
-
Eseries diff will fit straight in. He can use xa onwards stuff to get front discs. Best to adapt an xy booster and master cylinder, the remote xr ones are hard to find and rubbish.

Did any x falcon wagons/utes (leaf springs) come out with watts linkages installed?
Ants replied to RAWDEAL's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
F6 ute, fastest ford ute ever built, has cart springs in the arse. -
What no boost? Not even a lil ol chev in a falcon? Amateurs.
-
Xe manual are usually low back.

Later Model Power Steering pump, compatible with an older Power Steering box?
Ants replied to RAWDEAL's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
My xd has had an ls1 pump running the steering box since the conversion 2 years ago. It's still going strong and has the best steering feel of any xseries I've ever owned. -
Yeah 10s on the back.
-
The were ba offset,i had to run front spacers.
-
0 i think, ba anyway.
