yes true it might be a usa 6 or very small c.i 6 log motor ??? the converter does fit on the box,i first thought someone moded the converter to fit a nissan or something.
-
you love shit stirring.
-
next strange thing is it came with a converter which has a ring gear welded on it ???/ i doubt this fits a ford as its tiny ,just came with tranny unsure what it suits.
-
also placed cover on.
-
roller rockers are done ,020 on inlet and 022 on exhaust,i took my time ,about 1 1/2 hours to put studs in and lash rockers.
-
i will buy some lock tite today for the rocker studs and have a crack at the top end.
-
and just for the hell of it loosly bolted the intake farkn looks mean.i will probly mount the carby east/west like mustardxf was saying.
-
i also put the cover on just for a look ,i think the breather should be at the front yeah ?
-
i couldnt work out how to screw the studs in while trying to get the right angles on the cut-guide plates so i rang ol.m8 and gave me some advice,i spent an hour dummy assembling the studs and rocker gear then marking in pen within a couple of thou where they should go b4 putting 45lbs on the studs, then if nesscercary use a tiny punch to adjust so the pushrod isnt hitting the guide plate wall, well something like that.

wear mark look pretty spot on ,on the. tips
-
just doing a quick look at the rocker aseembly
-
nope, will get em next time the head comes off,i already jumped in months ago and started ordering stuff, didnt think about that so just using what i have first time around .

tourqing the head down now in 3 steps 55,65,75ft/lbs and 55lbs on the number 13 bolt
-
The solid lifters are in with a nice wipe of assembly lube.
-
we got it $2 cheaper in store than online order
-
thanks mate,i suppose thats the one,i will go to supercheap and get some, cheer's,i wonder would it be wise to use on all the head bolts ? or only the number 13 bolt as described.
-
does anyone no the correct permatex name for the head bolt sealer as autobarn dont have a clue
-
actualy come to think of it lol i think it just has inner dampers, and beefy singles,i will check tomorrow
-
yep i will drop the head back down to the shop and get them removed, then how long b4 re installing them ? a couple of hours run in ?
-
i usualy buy comp cams break in,i have the small joe gibbs assembly lube, but i dont even have a car to put it in yet,so its gunna sit on the stand for a bit,but latley been thinking about making a start up stand just for the hell of it as it comes in handy when building quite a few motors, also fun to annoy neighbors with no exhaust, nope the head is fully assembled with inners ,i no most recomend taking out the inners for break in,just might do that as i dont want any fuk-ups,will mark the pushrods too ,to make sure they are turning .
-
tomorrow i will bolt the head on and fit lifters and top end assembly ,i have never done a solid b4,so im gunna take my time and re watch a few vid's on how its done, the last few clevo's i did with the exhaust just opening then ajust intake, then intake almost closed ,then adjust exhaust i think thats how it goes ,but i have had better success with doing rocker assembly at tdc with doing both at the same time,i suppose both ways are good ,just make sure your on the back of the cam.
