    i run 225-60-15 allround,when i cruise the street im in top gear at 30kph,it changes so fast,but when you foot it she really bucks,when i do my crossy rebuild i will be going for 3.7 or 3.9 possibly 4.11 as it will be a drag only ,on my street driven car i might go back to 3.08 or 2.92.

    yeah its a in between gear set,3.08 is nice 3.45 onwards for real performance in a 1-1 final ratio box,i normally just cruise the streets at very low km's and it suits me fine with the occasional burnout.

    I just took the car for a drive to brizzy and back and 3.27's are just bearable ,sitting on about 2800rpm at 110kph

    ok i just was talkin to some trans shops in the u.s. and they said all c4 and c5 bellhousings were alloy for the inline 6,s,so i wonder why ours are iron.

    It's c2 ford pump,6cyl ,i didnt try to force it,just left it for a mate with the correct tool to take them off.

    only wimpy clamps ,i will leave it up to the pro's,i cant get it off,i just spoke to another member he has the tool !

    the borgy has a alloy one in my xe,but there are some custom ones out there made from alloy,im wondering can the borgwarner 35 one be modified to fit ?

    ALL the bellhousings i have found so far are cast iron,but the tranny shop says they were alloy ? so someone should no this,i dont no why i cant just put the 6cyl bellhousing on a later c4 or maybe you can ? the bell weighs 13kg cast iron

    IM PRETTY sure the xd ones are 26 spline and the same as any other c -4-10 to suit clevo's ,from research after 1970 all have the 26 spline input but finding a xd c4 is very hard .

    ok i have found 2 c4's to suit a crossy,so correct me if im wrong ,they are 24 spline,and of the late 60's vintage,so from what i have read a 157 tooth flywheel and a smallblock 289-302 windsor converter suit's yeah ?my std starter motor should fit i hope ? what other things do i need to know about the c4 6cyl,

    on the bigger cams it says use a 900r antipump up but on smaller to stock cams just use the normal lifter.

    can someone explain the anti pump lifter,does it act more like a solid ? i see on some cam company selections use 900 0r 900r lifter.

    on my dash when cold its ok pressure on an 33 year old engine,then as it warms up she nearly go's to zero unless you rev it up then goes to normal ?

    After looking at a lot of different extractors i see some that have 2 sets of bolt holes on the top flange,can someone tell me why this is,or is it for pre-crossy,or f100,cortina fitment ? i see this a lot on headers ?.

    is it nessarsary to use a carby adaptor or half or 1 inch riser on my square bore factory iron manifold ? im putting a new carby on it soon square bore 750 ?
