I wonder will their belt drive system fit the normal cleveland block ?,their 500 cube clevo will have some huge torque figures at low rpm as clevo.s have one of the best reputations at this.

Dave i was convinced i need a big allen key so i went and bought a set ,and after all that it didnt need them to take it off,old mate up the road took it off with the pully puller.

Hey how the hell does this hex bolt or screw come out ? is it a reverse thread ? i cant budge it,any idear's,i have put penetrene .

silly thing is there is no screw on the pump ,its just pressed on !

This is the factory v8 one with the large back.

The pulley i am after is a 1 row with a large counterweight on the rear,they are very common,the one in the picture is my 6cyl 2 row pulley which will still work fine but its not a factory v8 one,i will try and put a picture up of the one im after ,thanks for your reply 351XD-FAIRMONT.

Thanks i bought the car in jan 2015 ,then gave it a make over with all the original ESP bits,then found a 82 pillowblock and started to build the engine,has all new suspension,diff,scheel interior ect,fmx gearbox.original pioneer stereo with cassette player,and it is a T colour code chestnut car with T code trim sierra-tan.

ok i took it for a drive around the block it seems to be ok,tuesday is booked in for a 3 inch single system,with a hooker aero chamber stainless muffler i had.

ok thanks i will swap it all around in the morning,this afo when i cranked it with out the plugs in it i was so excited it all worked ,i bought a small bottle of comp cams run in additive .

ok i see so 2 turns of the crank is 1 turn of the dizzy,right ?

ok firing order is correct,10 deg is what i have,with the compression and exhaust stroke is it all in 360 deg or 1 turn of the balancer or is it 2 turns ? i obviously have got it out of sync with the correct stroke,so please correct me if wrong do i pull the dizzy and rotate the engine another full turn or only 180 deg ?

Guys help i tried to start it but its backfiring thru the carb ,do you think ive got it on the wrong stroke ? or how much timing should be at the balancer on number 1 when the motor is not running,any other theries please.

ha ha yes it turns out my mate who helps me put the motor in broke the vaccum tree and instead of telling me he shoved it in the end of the dizzy with the rubber block off ,it was wedged in so hard,the bloke at the machine shop was laughing his ass off,it goes in fine now,and timing is set at 10 deg ,first start coming soon.

The clevo is almost done,just waiting for the tailshaft to come back,add tranny fluid and start the fooker.

yep i cant work it out,im taking it to eddy the expert tomorrow morn ,what ever it is it wont budge,but its soft ????? a bloke not far from here worked on the engine assembly line in the xd era ,i will ask him,i also did a fare bit more today in the engine bay assembling the alt and p/s gear,carby and fuel lines and heater hoses,will continue on tomorrow.
