    i remember back in the 80's B and M came out with a mini blower to suit the clevo and many others,they are so rare to find these days.

    yeah its an old one i had from my last 750 d-p,i orderd a new one to suit the vac,i just want to be shore when i install it,its funny the first time i installed it with the tape it didnt leak ?,but now i no what type to get cheers guys.

    i checked the front bowl thread it looks ok,so i suppose its the rail,i actualy cut a d/p rail and re-joined it but thats not the problem,the join is fine,but i have orderd the correct one for a 750 vac and it should get deliverd next week,i reckon its the thread on the old rail.

    I have always been a cleveland fan,but throw your 2 cents in about the other ford big blocks like the 427 cammer,boss 429,SCJ429,460,400,390,428,427, i have been lucky in the past to play around with a boss 429 in pieces,and a 427 cammer two rare engines in australia.

    remember that the 400 piston actually has a different pin height to the 351c,i would just put a set of aussie shaved opens so streetable at 9.5.1.

    The 820 cube sounds awsome,i can imagine that in a falcon with a 12/71 blower sticking out the bonnet,yeah the yanks love our 2v closed for their broncos and f trucks with 400 or 351m or 351c ,i have seen pictures where a whole pallet of heads were sent there .

    I have read much on these suckers,weiand say 8.5.1 is the good ratio for a street app with 9.1 being about the most and 7.5 the least,the kit comes with the largest snout pulley which will give you not much boost but smart buyers get a few smaller ones while ordering their kit,a nice street combo will work ok with just the std pulley,weiand say will give 40% more power and its probly spot on,our dollar is starting to climb and im also waiting for it to go up to import one from the usa,price motorsports do a kit to suit a cleveland,but after spending $5000 on it,you wonder why you didnt just put a set of the latest alloy heads and roller cam and roller rockers and your probly gunna get the same result,

    mine have D3AE-G2B inside the top of the head near the springs other 400 heads might have D4 or D5 being the later type which were very resticted,our early 351 clevo's here had the bigger open chambers like the yank ones up untill the very early XB's i think 75-78 cc and the later ones 72-74cc.

    yep spot on,in america there is a guy called TIM MEYER and he specializes in these suckers,you can go on his website and check out his 400 strokers to 500 cubes i think,TMEYER.

    ok i topped up the fluid and no problems so far,i took the new engine for decent drive and holy hell it hammers,the fmx is cool and loves the clevo,its possible someone has put a shift kit in this fmx cause it nearly snaps your neck when manualy shifting it .

    Back in the old days there were a few can am 494 billet cranks cast for american racers,there is a write up about them in old pat ghnal ford performace book.

    The big block bellhousing will be quite tall at the top 2 bolt's ,some c4/s were also made to suit the big block pattern,a guy on e bay has one at the moment for about $2500 std form.

    I remember reading about the t amd m capri engine some time ago,i think it was based on a old boss 429 block,and good question with the 400 because big block bellhousings fit them and a small number of 1973 400/s have the smallblock bellhousing to fit the c6 ,so lets call it a medium block ?

    ok the exhaust is fitted and i took it for a better drive,it goes way beyond what i thawt,you click it back to second and its like the sonic boom when 3rd kicks in,the 3.27 gearing is ok because the motor has heaps more power then the crossy,im stoked how hard it actualy goes,only a mild cam ,and i built it myself,i had a couple of half stabbs on the gas and the pick up was crazy !

    what is the biggest stroker kit for a 460 ,i see some really big chev ones over 600 cubes but the ford seems to be a bit smaller ?.is it because not as much development has gone into raising the deck for the bigger crank ?

    yeah i forgot about the tunnel port,the cammer was very reliable engine even with its huge timing chain,i remember we had a dual 4 barrel intake on our one,and in the boss 429 there was a S and a T version ,we had the street version in the shed.

    The kaase boss 429 package is the go,use any 429-460 block and buy the hemi heads and intake ect and bam 700 plus hp is easy done,or wack in the 520 c.i. stroker crank,for under $10,000 you have a 750-850hp engine if you build it your self.

    There is only one m engine and that is the 351m,the 400 is a called a 400 cleveland ,just people in the late 70.s started calling the 400 a m but ford never called it that,its just plain 400.

    The 429 was out first before the 4ziggy,and are rare by todays standards,i was always thinking the same as most other people that the 400 clevo was a dog but there is quite a bit of get go gear for em now,i have a set of 400 heads from 1973 usa clevo (massive open chambers 78cc) as for the 460 injected i wouldnt have a fookin klew.

    I put the dipstick in the box after i put the motor in,and it doesnt want to go down the last 1/2 an inch,i mean the dipstick holder which goes into the box,i probly should have done it before but to late,i will put another 500ml or 1 litre and see what happens,i cant really take it for decent drive untill i get the new exhaust fitted next thursday.

    When i put the fmx into drive it doesnt engauge until i give it a small rev ,then seems to drive ok,could this be just low on fluid,im having trouble getting a correct reading ,but it would be very close to 10.5 litres in there now.reverse is the same,any idea's guys ?
