Will a open wheel centre provide equal power to each wheel on a normal take off or under load ,i no that 1 wheel spins when it loses traction.
-
yeah i always wonderd why so many utes ,vans and rv's and cars only had a single legger diff.
-
ok then check your cluster one more time to make sure its all good before putting the dash cover back on.
-
First undo everything and take cluster out.
-
ok its all working exactly as gerg said just de-tune it 500rpm and it will be pretty close to true.

Another JH clevo block i saw this morning she is jh31 wagon, and has had 8 sleeves put in it ,std size, maybe it was a big hp motor ?
-
ok i got another taco bell off another member (thanx m8) here is a picture of the adjuster slot i will try not to break it this time !
-
yes thats right, further investigation into this block is that it had $1300 worth of work done to it ,to fit 8 sleeve's that have been semi finished, the guy never picked it up,i might try and get it for a decent price to build a bullet proof bottom end.

I bought this fmx a few months ago to put behind the cleveland thats going into the xe,i took the sump off today ,drained the fluid, orderd new filter and gasket, painted the box and pan, fitted the bellhousing but i need to know how exactly the linkages go and the kick down lever which goes where im not convinced ive got it right does anyone have a box out of the car with the set up correct.
-
yeah i sought of remember when fitting it ,it would only line up one way,its just been bugging me did i put it on correct.
-
Can the flexplate be bolted on any way ,or does the weight have to line up with anything ?
-
Hey will the scorpion or y/t fit under the factory cover.s ?. i have always used tall covers with them .
-
I have used both the bolt on and adjustable pushrod ones, but yeah for $700 they are getting a bit steep,i think the scorpion ones have a poly-lock type, first time i bought a set of y/t bolt on's was 1994 and price was about $475.
-
ok good cause my cam is .486,i intend to put a set of scorpian or y/t bolt on's down the track, there arnt to many that do 5/16th rollers.but y/t are by far the best but not cheap.
-
Does anyone no the max cam lift with std rocker's,i read somewhere on crossy's it's 540 lift, but i dont no about clevo's maybe the same ?
-
Has anyone bought one of these, they give you extra ratio's and a overdrive and an empty wallet.

They also make a shorty c6 gearvendor for hot rods ,if i installed one on my fmx it would drop from 3.27 to 2.53 and so on for lower gearing ,once i calibrate my dash next week i will see where i am at,in the end at the diff shop i can change the gears back to 2.92 or 3.08 for about $220 or run 235/70/15 and that will knock it to 3.00.1 -

These AOD trannys are you shore they change 1-3-4 then only kick down into 2nd,i see b and m do one for $3500 from the u.s.,for my FMX a gearvendor is about $2700 u.s.. -
ok after spending 2 hours this morning doing the pre load again its just about spot on,when the exhaust starts to move adjust the intake to zero lash plus 1/4 to 1/2 a turn, and when the intake is on the way up do the exhaust, on non adjustable clevo or crossys,i used a combo of 030 and 060 shims and std 8.408 and 8.470 pushrods to get it spot on,no rocker noise at all now and was really careful not to push down on the tip to much that the valves started to open, another lesson done.
-
Yeah I am using them on my clevo,I'm just checking because I have another set which are marked different again.
