if you can find a 22 or 23 tooth for a fmx i would,but all i can find is a 21 so far and that is 10km out -

Evertime i drive the car and take it for a short trip on the freeway all i think about is how to gear the fooker back to original as it would fix my speedo,and be the factory correct fittment,but i suppose just going for a set of 2.92 second hand gears would still be ok,i might get the diff shop to swap the 3.27's back to 2.92 or 3.08,only other option is to run a really tall tyre like a 235/70/15 would drop 3.27 to 3.00.1 hhmmmm. -

I am talking about a xd or xe factory 351c auto with the 2.77 28 spline i no they are rare thats why im looking for one. -
i suppose the 2.95 first gear would be nice behind a mild v8,std top loader had 2.78 1st and v8 302 single rail had 3.06 and 351 single rail had 2.46,i saw some quick time bellhousings to suit a clevo conversion,(nice price too) but with these bellhousings would you need to still mill the input shaft down the 1.5mm ?

so do you reckon i should hook this up to the vaccum tree ? on the manifold to suck the fumes .

Hey does any one no where the purge line from the charcoal canister goes to ? i think it might go to the intake manifold tree to recycle gases ,but im not sure,can someone have a look at their set up and give info,cheer's.

Here is the picture,althou its a bit hard to see,on the left it says purge,and the far left i have blocked off (im not sure why ?) and the 3rd one is going to the tank.

mine is out of an xe ,1 is to tank,1 says to purge ? and the other 1 i have blocked off

I like the look of the hardcore grey ultra xp,but a bit pricey at around $900 to start off with,another holley that always looks good is the 780 GTHO type with the fuel inlet on the passenger side.A remanufactured copy is around $750 or a genuine numbers one $2500.

i really wanted a 650 vac or a 670 street avenger,but have you guys seen how much they are ? like $550-700 for a newie,holley no's that 650 size is the most popular and keeps the price high,also the 465 is very expensive as well as 289-302 owners use this as there best bolt on,a new 750 3310 vac is quite cheap,and even cheaper is the reco one i got.

yeah i checked that 2.95 first is on all v8 t5's.

The 3.9L engine had the 3.5 first,i just googled it,and 4.0L had the 3.25 so what eva happend after that is with ford.Some yank T5'S has a 2.95 first.

which box did you put behind the clevo i mean which ratio the 3.5 first ? you said 55kms

what about a t5 out of a xg is that a possible candidate ? or you just mean the xe-f t5.

What is the reason why you just wouldnt use the 5.0L manual bellhousing set-up on the clevo ?

all this talk made me pull the plugs again to check cond and all but 1 were pretty good ,number 8 was a tad fuelie,i will probly put the 68's in for when it warms up and stick with the 72's in winter.

everytime i mentioned to the carby shop that i want a 600 they said mate why do you want to use such a small carby on a 351 cleveland,its only a mild 2v engine,i can understand on a 302 a 600 would be fine.

from general observations id say its a bit rich at cold start and once warmed up pretty close,i had the carby built with no choke,i have 13 inches of vacuum in drive on the fmx,so by the holley guide video 6.5 power valve is spot on,i dont have any cats just a 3 inch single with big muffler,maybe thats why i smell a bit of fuel.

The carby place said nah stick with the 72 jets ,its a vacuum 750,

The last clevo i had i just couldnt get it right,now i no that i had way to big cam in it for street driving and it had almost no vaccum ,only 5 at idle and a new set of plugs were only lasting 100kms if that from new,i now no that the power valve was open most of the time and it was dumping so much fuel into the motor,i now have many tools and a vaccum guage ,to choose the right power valve,my 750 vac has a 6.5 in it and its spot on for a reading of 13 or more,the new clevo is going good no plug problem,just a tad rich in my view,front jets are 72 and once i get the air to fuel guage it will give me a more accurate reading,i have a set of 68 jet's which i might put in summer time because its dam hot here in QLD,but now its cooled off the clevo loves the colder air .

14.7 is the magic number i think with 6 being as rich as a gasoline engine will operate,9 being black smoke and poor power,11.2 a bit rich,12.2 high performance,15-16 lean but good fuel miledge from what i was reading before.

im only just learning about this stuff,i run a carby and want to get it in fine tune.

ok sweet i always just thought that 1 wheel like the drivers side had all the power going to it under normal acceleration ,thats why most of us like to go to the LSD unit.
