The sides ,is there supposed to be something there,or does the consul cover it up ?

After testing the raised height,its really good and you can feel the nose is up ,i went on my usual rat run and hit all the bumps that were scraping the trye b4 and didnt hear or feel anything,the bloke was spot on at 2cm higher than b4,also plenty of room under the bump stop.i will more than likely put a set of shock tower spacers .

They look awsome.

The ultimas are a copy of the better konis or bilstein.kyb ect

ok thats much better but i still need to take for a drive after the other side is done i can see on the shock that i have at least another 1-2 cm now without spacers on the towers.

The packers

ok i have done 1 side,the bloody shock was almost all the way compressed,i took a measurement you can see there was only 2cm of travel when it was loaded up.

yeah i spoke to him about that he said those ultimas already have a short stroke and (low) 30 cm than std is the max they will fit,but yeah down the track i will definatly spend some coin on good front shocks,on the weekend i will measure it all out and see if i can get another 1cm spacer on the shock tower ,the e bay ones are not cheap.

Those were my thoughts too dave but he said he can sell me the lows but i would be saving $140 on just putting the packers at $35 and 10mm ,he said the superlows get around 40 to 50mm ,so adding the packers will bring it very close to low height,i have the heavyweight combo in the fmx and clevo with cast iron manifold ect,,,,thats why it is a bit lower than usual,anyway i will see how it goes ,i will also get 10mm more travel on the shocks,i hope that helps.

I just got these 10mm spring packers.the suspension shop guy said these will bring it back to the same height as (lows) so i will start the fittment on the weekend with pictures.will glue the 2cm i cut off the bump stops back on ? or just leave it

It would be interesting to see what sought of c4 you have,could be the early v8 one,what year was the zc ? 1970 ?

c4 shifter can be had quite cheap,linkage rod too,tailshaft should fit straight in,i had a xt ute with a 302 cleveland,c4 and big drum brake xa 9 inch 3.00.1 diff,sounds like a good project

std diff should be ok,are you thinking colum c4 auto or t bar.

I have never met him but have got plenty of bits n pieces off him for my car,im expecting parts tomorrow.

Refusing to give in i checked the plugs again and all were good,so i went to the carby again and yep no fuel or very little was in the rear bowl ,so after another adjustment to bring it up to just trickling out when the car is rocked ,took it for a test drive and all seems good ,the fluttering and coughing must have been due to too much air and no fuel ?

Yeah i went thru all this a few months ago,after thom said rotate the dizzy 180 deg it fired instantly i had it on the wrong stroke

ahhhh i thought you had a cleveland,well principal is the same but maybe some 6cyl boys can chime in and give a starting point for timing.

Just put roughly 10 -12 deg in at the balancer and fire her up

Fords idea of those huge primarys on the xc-xd-xe thermoquad was for towing .
