But the best thing of all today is i solved the block problem i bought another clevo lol 3rd one in 3 weeks but this one is 351 short motor.

The carby came back as well ,fully serviced ,375cfm.

just got the gasket set ,and 2v intake set.

i was told it could be a hole in the float causing it to go all over the place, nope she is empty.

After chopping the bump-stops that were riding on the suspension arm,and taking the car for a few drives i noticed it was starting to run rough-so i pulled the plugs and yep all blacked up,couldnt work out why ,last tune was ok then i looked into the carby while it was running and saw dripping from the secondaries into the booster,so i figured that by changing the height of suspension had made the float level a bit different from last it was done with the different height level,so i adjusted down the float and seems all good now,i wouldnt have thought that such a small change would have done this and it was on left hand booster,same side as i damaged the guard .

Today just painting the bolts

i painted it and bolted it all up just need the belt and either shim the old compressor or get the new pulley.

another thing to watch when soughting out the waterpump bolts is 2 have a factory style washer on them so when you do the bottom alternator bolt up no water leaks out of the bolt maybe put a little sealer when doing the bolt up,because the pump is alloy you cant do em up to tight otherwise they will strip easy.

ok i have been sent a few needle and seats,gaskets ,so i will give it a go.

Yes these 2 barrel manifolds are very rare and only came on the 1974-75 2 barrel 351c with red rocker covers and a 2 barrel carb,ford was looking for better fuel consumption so i have been told,check the dominator style adaptor lol.

i new that spare rocker cover would come in handy

Looks like i will have to bite the bullet and get the block bored and new pistons sp555 060 around $300,rings $70 and $300 for the bore and hone ,may as well chuck some cam bearings in there as well ,oh and some bearings $140,so we are looking at $900 odd.

yeah i am bear im just starting to look at how much to soup them up to the max with all the gear or just go CHI 225 or 208 3v and a mega high-rise single intake.

I started with this clevo pillow block 2 bolt mains out of a zk fairlane,after 12 months of sourcing nos parts,she.s just about ready to fit to the xe ,so i will start with the block.
