i mean the crossmember for a c4 will or it looks like it will bolt straight in to the xg chassis

looks like the xe-f crossmember will bolt straight in,there is a provision for that ,but the btr box uses a different one.

yeah if you look at a block with pistons in it you think man that thing is warped,today coming home from the shop a tool fell of the back of a ute so i grabbed it and i am making a top deck zero finder tool to measure roughly how much down the hole my builds are,im sure there is pro tools out there but hey i have to make use of what is here,gerg down the hole will be a thing of the past ,block in the picture is a dummy block.

Hey has anyone put one of these air to fuel guages in their car ? great for tuning and jetting and WOT readings,im getting one,it really takes out the guess work.

82 compressor still works well.

my suction is on the bottom,can someone else with a v8 system like this confirm there suction and discharge levels please,i have seen many pictures of york air con systems and the top one goes to the firewall which would be the discharge right ? if thats correct then this compressor is compatable .

This morning got the jiff out and lightly cleaned up the piston tops after brass wire wheeling the crap off them,came up good.

i would be going turbo on the 4.oL IN THE XG but i keep reading on forums that the kit that suits the ea-ed does not fit the xg but there is a kit for the xh.

hey your right i just looked up the air con cattledog and the er 210r is the righthand suction and er210L is the left hand crossy one ?

I CAN get a complete 5.0L WITH NO GEAR BOX ,BUT WOULD I NEED THE 156 TOOTH BELL AND FLYWHEEL TO SUIT THE C4

nah these pistons and crank came out of this engine,old mate tanked the block still to put cam bearings and hone and core plugs.

but getting back to the origianl question will a clevo fit in the k frame,steering box looks the same as my xe,towers ect,,,, just the firewall and k frame.

also cleaned the local cast 351 crank and wd40 it,i might drop it down to old mates to polish it up !

With not much to do while waiting for the block to come back ,i took another look at the 040 pistons on the rods and they arnt that bad,so i cleaned em up and will problerley just stick with them to keep the build in budget.I have many sets of heads here i can adjust to suit.

yeah there is a complete 5litre at the local wreckers and a tranny to suit stashed up high in the rack that says v8 nc so i suppose that might fit.

the lines went in the same way as a v8,just with the 6 they snake around the crossy ,with the v8 they are shorter on the passenger side,but hold the phone i will check what you are saying dave,but it could be like a c4 cooler lines where it doesnt matter which way they bolt up as long as it is circulating.

ok what about a 4 speed auto v8 suit 5.0L WOULD that line up ?

ok just thinking down the track to fit a wild engine just for drag's so im not worried about the heater or rego,but would a normal c4 crossmember bolt straight in.

Nah the 060 has been chucked in the river,I got another short engine 351 so we will use that instead,and the 4ma will be used with the 302 rod on another block I have here/ so the reco2 is now a reco351.
