Will a cleveland fit into a xg engine bay,i no they are similar to a xf but the k frame is for the 4.0L,? anyone no .
-
varking awsome ,seems the clevo c4 fmx route will be much easier than this as most of the trouble was with the 5.0L and trans,i wont be putting a/c on it,just re routing the power steer to xe v8 lines and pump, why does that tailshaft i got have that balancer on it ?
-
seems to be the right one as the t5 xf
-
well i checked the tailshaft and its the same as my unis, but havent checked length yet,why is that balancer on the front yoke or is that the way 5 speeds were ?
-
i have found the right crossmember i think its out of a early ea with either the t5 or bw35 holes, also a chunky 5 speed big ass steel tailshaft with bigger unis than my auto one, also the yoke is longer so i am hoping this will fit the c4 -c10 box set up ?The tailshaft is out of a xg as well.
-
so what is the titus cleveland block then ? or is that the buttermore block ? the alloy blocks would be a fair bit lighter than the iron ones.
-
On e bay they list a dart ford smallblock as a cleveland and you can see by the pictures its a windsor ? why ?
-
yes i just looked,he even does 400c stroker kits
-
where can you buy one dave ?
-
tomorrow i might get the cam and install it plus the timing gear ,fuel pump ect..
-
i put a dummy sump on it just to keep clean until the new one arrives, not much else i can do until the cam and oil pump show up.also put new head dowls .
-
i have checked the side rod clearence and given all a good oiling

I sold a clevo block to bloke yesterday from brisbane who only wanted it for piston moulds for his arrow block,he sounded like a he was on another level of inteligence and says yes they are poured in china but are of very good quality,he uses his in a 700hp app he says.
-
The arrow block is available now for about $3800 i am considering one of these ,titus make one in the states in alloy, and tod buttermore has his own version as well.
-
could be a yank block,or replacement from ford
-
ok by the end of the day i have 4 pistons in and really just taking it slow.
-
ok all in and just a light tourqe at 30lbs and make shore thru your tightening sequence to check free -ness of the crank turning.
-
ok so far so good now clean that crank 1 more time and gently place it in
-
snap your bearings into place and dont forget to put the rear oil seal in b4 dropping the crank in for a test fit
-
cone shaped plugs go in the front of galleries ,here you can check tunnel straightness too.
-
next put a fresh set of oil gallery plugs in it and a drop of sealer on the threads, old mate fitted the welsh plugs yesterday
