should be fine but you might need to put a different hump on it for clearance. -
ando just dropped the new block off
-
hypertec do a 29 cc dish piston for about $280 a set.
-
well unsure about turbo or the small weiand supercharger kit from aussiespeed or just a beefy n/a or efi i picked up a efi intake during the week didnt pay much for it so maybe that too ,if lowering the comp i think i have read somewhere that instead of using a de-comp plate you can use the unleaded xf dish piston with the xe head which i am about to look at the compression calcuator, factory booklet says xe 8.81 factory comp, will check with 26cc piston should maybe get around 8 to 1 ?

sorry wrong picture
-
block looks ok condition,is std bore but will need a rebore if the new owner everdoes anything with it,ando is dropping off a crossy block tomorrow for me to start with.

head is unmarked model and if ol'm8 gives it the ok will spend some bucks on it.
-
one thing that bugs me is why does a xe with no air-con or power steer have a fan this big ? anyway ol'm8 got the bolt out charged me accoringly, quite dished pistons in this engine.
-
yup thats right the wrecker got it off for me as i didnt have a big enough spanner,he also reckons this is a factory waterpump.
-
i actualy bought that one cause the 14 chinese one snapped when i tried my first clevo head years ago so i got the 9/16th but i will get the 14 today, also how the fuk does the fan come off from the water pump,i got the bolts off now like is it pressed on ? i cant belive this.
-
maybe ?
-
The one i used was a kingcrome 9/16 which has done many clevelands, but it wasnt a hex,i will buy one i got a price $14.
-
what about those fan pulley bolts dean ?
-
i have never seen a chain with that much play, you could almost just unhook it,waterpump bolt just snapped off,can someone tell me do the fan bolts on the pulley are they a reverse thread or normal ? they dont want to budge either.
-
i used a 12 point i think,all the rest were fine.
-
i ended up dropping it off at the machine shop ,i couldnt budge it,ol'm8 will try some tricks on it,i only want the head and bolt ons for the next engine as the block is going with the car,is there any differance between 83da and 84 ?
-
i can use a few bolt on from this engine for the new crossy, but 1 problem i cant get the head off 1 bolt is on so tight it wont budge, any idea's because its nearly stripped the head, maybe weld the socket to it ?
-
she is the 4.1 from the blue car 83da
-
striping this crossy down today ,plenty of cake.
-
The manifold has studs in the body position.
-
I just scored this at the wreckers and cleaned it up a bit,it doesnt have a throttle body,if im gunna use this in my crossy turbo is there a better body like a later model one that is better to use ? also reading about the EL ecu conversion. And is there any difference between the xe efi manifold and later xf types ? i no this is a xf one but not sure of year model.
