ok i will check them out today but late yesterday afo we looked at a windsor valve and the assembled height was to short,the head diameter of intake im looking for is about 1.800,the leghnth of the valve is 5.293 you must have done some serious work to make those 2.125's fit

i have found a buick 1.6 exhaust is that the one you are talking about,and they said at pw,they can supply blank valves to modify

nah no one has nuthin in crossflow size I was gunna ask you about it,pw said use a 2v clevo valve but olm8 said hours of work trying to turn them down to fit so I might have to just go with new stainless efi valves ?

yeah Aussie speed told me that I told him not to touch the manifold problem atm is cant find stainless single grove valves

ol'm8 says first we are doing the head to see where we are at with cc and the rest follows,i also orderd a aussie speed big 4 barrel manifold he needs it to match port the head.

piston choice is only the real thing bugging me,using the 83 head with roughly 57cc odd chamber there is the 20.5cc dishy at std compression height ,with near zero deck you are gunna get around just over 9.1 comp,but if i use the 5.7 cc dish it will get 10.5 comp which is what i want,but that piston has a lower compression height so i will ask ol.m8 if we can take even more off the block,there is the std compression height flat top but its gunna get 11.1 or more and i think thats getting a bit high,many questions to ask tomorrow,also balancers the powerbond or romac ? 4 bolt one to suit 84 onwards.

ok i have stripped the block down and found the rod bearings were 010 so i guess its had a reco b4,all good i will send it down tomorrow to the machine shop to get ol'm8 to tank it up and we will go from there

yep spot on gaz she is just a 6cyl box with just under 3 1/2 turns in first gear so its a 3.47 or 3.50 -

something aint right big gear has 31 teeth and the one it drives is 14 teeth which makes 2.2 ratio ,there must be some sought of different way to calcuate the ratio ? -

Guys what would be the better ratio single rail behind a worked crossy ? the factory 6 one is around 3.5.1 first,i also have a 0503 009 which is 3.06 and i can get my hands on the 0503 008 351 one which is 2.46 first ?

this consul is exactly the blue one i need for the latest xe build,its gunns come in real handy once cleaned properly

A lot of times people paint a consul to match their old or broken one,in this case its black over blue,althou not a show stopping piece good chance to see what type of clean up i can do on it,so far the pressure washer only took a bit off,then killer degreaser and gernie,then paint stripper ,that didnt do much really altho i didnt leave it long on there not to kill the plastic,so im about to try some thinners and see if that will work a bit better ,at the end of the day if all else fails ol' m8 at the paint shop can match up another can of blue acrylic .

aparently ando said this 84 da has a 1 piece rear seal,so the crank i took out of the 83 aint gunna fit,so i will pull this fella down and take the block to the machine shop and see what ol'm8 says about it,the bores look std and good with hardly any lip or ware.
