Iv used dayco hubs, never had an issue with em.

or you can disconnect it and drive it manually, learn to leftfoot brake and remember to give it a quick rev on down shifting so it wont get forced into gear.

yeah i say that cables fucked too, buy a new one. you'll need to drop the trans sump to change the kickdown cable though, maybe worth servicing the trans too, filter kit n all. it the fluid still looks nice n fresh and doesnt smell burnt could try and save it and re-use it.

Hey fella's im wanting to install this clock in my XD ute This 4 pin plug is my dilemma, where does it go? The white plug with the grey wires is for the speaker in the top of the dash, The white square one is for the the AM radio, The brown one is for the ciggy lighter and i dont know where those 2 bullet connecters go can anyone help me? or do i need to get another dash loom from a wrecker?

Leyland also used the singlerail in there P76's, they are a great gearbox. -

XA-XF P/S boxes have an imperial thread for the high pressure line, XG P/S have metric thread for the high pressure line.

ford did produce some utes ate vans between 1988 and early 1990 with the old floor (just to run out the old tooling etc)

im replacing the lower balljoints on my XD ute as part of the roadworthy (they are the origianl ones) are those spot welds that i can see and circled? are XD lower ball joints rivited AND spot welded in? -

i used an air chisel, fucked those rivets off quicksmart do the ball joint bolt to this plate or does the plate get removed and thrown away? i cant remember since the last time i did ball joint replacements (did them on my XF 2 years ago) its better to ask than assume -

yokes are different, FMX is 31 spline and the C4 is 28 spline -
XH is basically an EF-EL hybrid, some of it is still XF. if you remove the drivers seat and lift the rubber floor covering or carpet up, you'll see the pressings in the floor ready to take the EF-EL floor hand brake, complete with the tapped threads ready to go too. i dont like the XB GS bonnet skin on that XH pano, it doesnt match up with the rest of the body lines, it looks better on that black EB wagon in my opinion. my 2 cents worth

the bigger 255mm dia clutch has more clamp load than the 240mm dia clutch, also i forgot to say that XG clutch cables are the same as unleaded XF

X series, EA and EB series 1 used the 3 bolt clutch 240mm dia clutch, EB series 2-AU including the XG and XH commercial vehicles used the 6 bolt 255mm dia clutch. you'll want to get hold of a flywheel thats post EB series 2 (april 1992 onwards) the XG (XF hybrid from factory in other words) shares bits n peices from the EB series 2 and ED falcon.
