the price for pedders , at like 650$ for a spring/shock kit for the front/ i am actually considering it now lol not sure who makes them though -
1974 is new enough for me lol do you mean soldering the connections AT the sensor ? if you solder a spade terminal onto a wire and then plug it into something , should be fine ??
-
Yep i run thermos, msd 6530, astra pump, ect and mine runs fine with a EB v8 alternator

yeah if you push down on the front left it doesnt really go anywhere lol, sitting on the bump stops 41 year old 6cyl coil springs rest in peace lol -
damn im glad i looked at this . i am actually going thru what springs to order today for my car.. and in the next few months it will be getting alloy heads ! .. good excuse to go lower than i was going to originally lol
-
ALWAYS Solder EVERYTHING ! AND THEN HEATSHRINK FFS is another good tip.
-
not unless the inner hex in the dizzy rounds off lol to many nightmare stories around about chinese engine parts man just trying to help haha
-
how about a complete rebuild, because the chinese copy stopped driving the oil pump lol ?
-
Howcome you diddnt go off of the battery? thats my backup incase the alt dies or the car stalls lol hammering thru a corner and your power steering dies = not ideal lol
-
I needed two different wires to be connected at once to get mine going , the other ones just some diagnostic wire as far as i know? does yours take about 30 seconds to build pressure after its started ? i am also using ATF . because i used a 5.0 windsor fitting and it leaked from the high pressure side/on the pump. The astra one is really similar but it has an oring Basically . the low pressure hose is just hose clamped on each end the high pressure hose is threaded and crimped on each end
-
If you guys want any more pics ect i can provide . they are in the link ^^ the ONLY disadvantage in running the pump i can find , is that when you turn the car/pump on it takes about 30 seconds before it builds enough pressure to steer Ive got it wired to ignition.. so you can easily dry steer with 245/45/17s on the front with the car off and just the ignition on.. which is cool lol

Im running one . In my Xb which has a v8 in it should be in the project thread Im selling the hoses off of mine. Because ive brought braided flex ones for that extra bling. its long enough to mount it anywhere in the engine bay . PM me if u want it http://www.ozfalcon.com.au/index.php?/topic/2927-xb-with-a-boosted-302-6-speed-manual-project/page-3

Help with automatic gearbox choice
RAWDEAL replied to scottly's topic in Transmission and Differential
the VN 4 speed is basically this. thats what i would go IMO If you are starting from scratch.. that 4th gear is 1000x better for street duties -
Pics should be in my XB project page . Ill link it Belt is a 1195mm long one though haha EDIT: Here is the link http://www.ozfalcon.com.au/index.php?/topic/2927-xb-with-a-boosted-302-6-speed-manual-project/page-2

I dont run a tensioner in my Serpentine setup on the windsor although that only uses alt-waterpump-crank pulleys
-
What is the point in running a gilmer like that , then running v belts ?
-
I am pretty sure that ltd i have thats here , has the converter mounted like the 2nd picture. was a 225/impco setup like that picture. let me know if you need any mounts and stuff? i am running a carb manifold so that stuff is all useless lol
-
hahahahahahahahah

I have mounted mine inside on the trans tunnel, and all of the wires , that already come on the box , are long enough to reach the dizzy /coil, without adding to them?

I know it is the m86 ect . but i want an LSD -
