handbrake you'd be best getting a new one custom made, back in the day (20yrs ago) i was quotes $120 from ABS brakes to make one, these days you'd be surely double that if anyone has the brains to do it.
you can cut and join the cable with cable clamps and make a hybrid of the 2 in the short term and prove it works before getting the cable made up also.
tailshaft will fit if it's a sedan XE and Sedan (not fairlane/LTD) EF (would be if XR6 sedan, not if wagon )
Driveshaft is xr6 sedan EF

Was thinking getting new brake lines made up and just attach front xe cable to ef cable hopefully it'll be all good

If the crack is between the valves its not a major worry.
Its straight through where the head bung screw is, builder recommended i source another, he has one but needs welding repairs, guess ill try and source a C2 head cheers

Hi Gang,
Does anyone know of any places that have new 4.1ltr xflow alloy heads at all or is this never been a thing, mine unfortunately is cracked and i don't want to run the risk of buying multiple second hand ones but that maybe my only option

Yeah i thought that was the case, might try and case a good original one down and ad spacer

i thought the steel ones didn't need a spacer.
Aussiespeed also make a rocker cover that probably doesn't need a spacer. https://www.aussiespeedshop.com/page/3/?s=crossflow
Stupid question how the fark do u do an oil change no oil cap on those ones im just curious

Just now, deankdx said:aussiespeed make a spacer if that's what you need to lift the rocker cover up (alloy one or i guess for the steel also if it's needed) used to hear people using 2 gaskets back before that if it's needed.
probably be other answers on the way if there's anything else out there.
Probably going to need a new cover as well looks like mine has had a wrecking ball dropped on it lol

Hi guys, for those running roller rockers can u post the tappet cover on ya xflows , want an idea of what ppl have done
-
if you put them in a press and gently lever the locking pins one by one then release the press slowly it's a fairly easy job, I got onto a bloke in brassy that does them so i'll send it off and as it's been sandblasted i'll repaint myself here
-
ford xe mate, yeah I know PBR are now bosch but no kit is available, said it was a brake specialist thing, I did get onto a shop locally who sends them away but they wanted there cut of commission before they'd hand details over LOL, getting onto a shop in brassy hopefully they can help
-
went into repco who rang bosch, pbr no longer make kits and bosch do not stock any so how the fuck do they restore them obviously it's a brake shop thing now
-
Ok guys just sandblasted my brake booster which I believe is a PBR, i'm wanting to get a rebuild kit for it but where do I get one from seems near impossible, the number on the brake booster is VH39524F2D8

motor looks like a good buy sounded pretty good, no matter what you buy your always going to do something to it to improve it or to your liking anyways

Yep considering the amount of modded cars i think a handbrake cable is the least hurdle to combat lol
