yes I hear ya mate and this whole hiring bosses from quantas is a joke this is our second now , they have no clue on rail transportation, r you being made to work rdo's etc we are atm, and we have some contract labour from edi Cardiff atm bout 4 electricians and a few carpenters as there out of work basically poor buggers
-
nah that was built at Cardiff NSW i'm in Maryborough QLD we built the pan pacific locos and qr national ones, we built the qr rail trains for Brisbane cq02/03 and purd contract for perth, now we just did refurbishment on cairns tilt and halfway through 7 new tilt cars for cairns then it's all maintenance work in dribs and drabs so we are hearing 60 to go by xmas and the new guy running the show wants to sack us all and re hire under contract labour

having no work certainly sucks the way of the country unfortunately I will probs be in this vote may nest year when our new ceo at edi decides that labour hire is the best thing in his opinion cause when works low in his words just send the guys fishing for 3 months
-
I think i'll just plan the next 3 months saving so more cash up around the $14k mark if I cannot get over 500hp I give up LOL
-
sweet what did that cost all up
-
yeah I thought the stroker might limit that rev range I was told with compression to not go any higher then 10 is this a myth
-
HA that was to good to be true unfortunately it didn't include labour nor bottom end and the nastiest set of heads known to man so would of been like the crate 393 after all LOLOLO, I spoke to russ through pm and he did actually put me onto some goodies I guess the old 351 is not like building a supercharged BA xr8 I need to get in the old school state of mind
-
I'm looking at building a 600hp demon reving at 7200-8000rpm i'm thinking keeping standard bore but stroking it to a 393 etc, chi heads and manifold to match 750 holley big cams etc what should I set aside budget wise
