hey guys ive got my front doors operating from inside and out but the rear doors open from inside only exterior handles lift right up and nothing any help?

I've looked in the xe manual with doors and ive seen nothing about what your refering to jack but I am intrigue

ok I took a deep breathe this arvo and went to it again I removed the inner pivot and linkage to handle and mechanism I shut door and it opens from inside, then I pulled on the inner rod to mech and it opens so the problem is the linkegas are abit too sloppy and the pivots are obviously worn to bugger so ? where do you get new pivots

only prob is the rods are as bent as a banana LOL

ok ive spent 2 months yes 2 friggin months ive change out the whole entire mechanisms from door lock pin to outer striker and yet its still doing the same friggin thing only opens from inside, ive change the strikers with ones that are operating both on inner and outter handles and yet still no go what the hell is going on im fed up over it and have lost interest in the whole build I'm ready to sell the car and cut my losses TBH,

I can get a pretty neat set of front seats for my project, I'm just wondering if they bolt straight in or is mods required?

I spent $10k Including top shelf materials and my mate who has his own paint shop did the job with me helping him for 5 days all up just sanding etc , with mates rates took 200hrs all up in labour bare metal respray, but if I went with other quotes I'd have no change from $18k including materials, I was lucky to get outta it for $10k and it turned out mint but on average most paint jobs you can easily spend $15k on average. one thing I found getting quotes from shops, they wanted the job from start to finish panel work, priming, repairs etc they wouldn't give any guarantee or warranty as they don't know what's been done under the primer etc , as I had a few panels already done on my car so even when my mate sprayed it all the work I did came off and it was redone again by him, Most shops and painters like piece of mind its done RIGHT. you may find somewhere that is willing to just paint it but they may say any issues if they arise we will be waived of all responsibility just get quotes and do your homework mate. hope this helps

Ok guys I'm after you help again I need the full set of chrome strip moulds that go on top of the doors with the weather strips etc not the gutter moulds will be painted black so as long as there in GC no dents or twist im happy can pay via bank deposit many ppl have helped me out here hope to deal with you all one day.

yeah they all seem to be ok once I put un stretched wire rods in should b sweet thank god for that

ok guys I spent the arvo degreasing and lubing the mechanisms and ive found the the door handle rod and rod to striker is stretched as soon as I pulle don it passed the slack theyd open so new rods with fencing wire next week

nah that's meant to be the lever on the inner door mechanism mate LOL bad paint arrow outter strikers are good, LOLOLO yeah i'll pass on the back yard bogan fix

yep i'll give em a work over with degreaser etc might be grimed up thanks guys see how I go

bad thing is i chip the bloody door above the outter handle touch up required that'll make me mate happy LOL

this is what i found the lever near the striker pin isnt moving everything else is including rods etc

i'll hunt around I know I got a few spare somewhere here, ive tweak the slack outa the rods etc

this one has me stumped puzzled and frustrated LOL, something is wrong the handles pull and the wires move but the lever at locking mechanism does not engaged the striker pin?

yeah thought that would be the safest way to get even sides cheers, yeah I thought of the dynamat it does look good when done properly but then I thought more money to spend elsewhere LOL
