My dyno guy said it may be an issue, just researching it in case i need to go buy one. Thanks guys
-
Yep thats horrible, take it back!!

Buying a larger pulley for the pump might be an option. Whats it off? Clarkos performance in qld do them. Or a guy in vic does them for some also.

Cant do heaps to a streety on the scales other than crossweights and ride height but still worth a go
-
Yeah mate theyre the same

Hi all, Am going to put a e series lsd into my xf, just wondering whats involved in making it fit? Have to put an ef bush in the diff end of the lower trailing arm? What about the brakes/handbrake? And does an EF sedan tailshaft go straight in? Thanks
-
Dont they seal them with polyurethane?
-
Yep find a fairmont surround
-
As far as I know, yeah. Think they go onto e series motors also?

Cant remember the exact difference but definitely are different. Easier to do a housing swap, upgrade to a e series 3.45 lsd -

Afaik, 2.77 are different carrier so you'll have to change the whole centre and have it reshimmed and stuff rather than just a gear swap -
Pretty sure they're not made to be accurate haha
-
Think that goes off throttle position so isnt accurate
-
Yeah he seems to put a rather decent markup haha
-
Balljoints are a press job. pretty sure you cant just do rubbers but I could be wrong.
-
I know whenever we had speedway engine problems with that it was always misalignment. Try romac balancer?
-
Wasnt a misalignment issue with the pulley/balancer was it?
-
I've got one on my racecar that I machined so theres just enough to bolt the clutch to so maybe 5 or 6mm left on it haha. Made it heaps lighter, did it on a brake lathe. Havent had any dramas yet with it....
-
Ah yeah. I'd start with a 3.08 in my el street stock on a track that size, not sure that I'd be going such a drastic change as 2.77 or 2.92.
-
What length is that track?
-
Max tyre size in a streety is 215/65

Easy as conversion! Just press in ef/el lower trailing arm bushes into your xf arms at the diff end (can buy the diff end bushes on their own too) -
I definitely recommend it, they're a great jack
